and height 24cm. Find the total cost of painting these pillars at rate of Rs.120 per 𝑐𝑚2 .

and other two sides are equal.

The perimeter of a triangle is 44 cm. Its sides are in the ratio 9:7:6. Find its area.

Two concentric circles with centre O have A, B, C and D as points of intersection with a line l as
shown in the figure. If AD = 12 cm and BC = 8 cm, find the length of AB and CD.
31. In △ABC, the bisector AD of A is perpendicular to side BC. Show that AB=AC and △ABC is isosceles.

32. Following table shows a frequency distribution for the speed of cars passing through at a
spot on a highway:
Draw the frequency polygon representing the above data without drawing the histogram.
33. In ∆ABC and ∆DEF, AB = DE, AB || DE, BC = EF and BC || EF. Vertices A, B and C are
joined to vertices D, E and F, respectively (see

35. In given figure, AB || CD and EF || DG, find ∠GDH, ∠AED and ∠DEF.

Case Study Question:
36. CIRCULAR GARDEN
A farmer has a circular garden as shown in the picture below. He has a different type of trees, plants,
and flower plants in his garden. In the garden, there are two mango trees A and B at a distance of AB =
10m. Similarly, he has two Ashoka trees at the same distance of 10 m as shown at C and D. AB
subtends ∠AOB = 120° at the centre O, the perpendicular distance of AC from centre is 5 m. The radius
of the circle is 13 m.
38. Anil is a mathematics teacher in Kerala. After Periodic test 3, he asks students to
collect the mathematics marks of all the students of Class IX- A, B and C. A student is
able to collect marks from some students, Nyati scored least mark 6 in the class and
Vaibhav scored highest marks 59 in the class. He prepares the frequency distribution
table using the collected marks and draws Histogram using the table as shown in
adjoining figure:
