Future Advocates of Integrity, Trust and Honesty Constitution and By-Laws

Preamble

We, the members of this organization, in order to promote and encourage interest in Social
Studies, to give importance to every masterpiece God has done, and to reach and extend our
helping hands to the community, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the government
of our association.

ARTICLE I: NAME & PURPOSE


Section A: Name – The name of this club shall be Future Advocates of Integrity, Trust and
Honesty (FAITH).

Section B: Purpose – The purpose of this club shall be:


 To show students the amazing power of the Lord for His masterpieces and wonders;
 To uplift the love of students to the Social Studies subjects and inculcate the values of
true heroism, nationalism and patriotism;
 To build good debaters, logical and critical thinkers, problem solvers through Social
Studies subjects.
 To let students love their heritage and culture;
 To produce matured and responsible citizens;
 To expose students to different activities that will arouse compassion and awareness to
different issues that concerns family, society and the world; and
 To reach students to become closer to the Lord who is the Creator of everything that are
being discussed and studied in any Social Studies subjects.

ARTICLE II: MEMBERSHIP

Section A: Eligibility - Membership shall be open to all bona fide students from Grade Four
to Grade Twelve upon signing the registration for membership. All members are required to
pay their membership fee.

ARTICLE III: OFFICERS


Section A: Officers – The organization’s officers will be composed of the Junior/ Senior
Governor (Elementary/ High School Department), Vice Governor, Mayor (Secretary), Vice
Mayor (Treasurer), Economic Officer (1st Councilor), Public Relation Coordinator (2nd
Councilor), Historian (3rd Councilor) and Peace Officer (4th Councilor).

Section B: Eligibility – Officers must be from Grade Seven to Grade Twelve students.
 He/ She should have high interest to promote Social Studies as a holistic, engaging and
relevant subject which should not be neglected by any students.
 He/ She can carry out the mission and vision, goals and purposes of the organization.
 NO failing grades in any subject from the past school year and must have a grade of 85 or
above in Araling Panlipunan or Civics.
 NO record of misconduct forwarded to the Guidance Office that resulted to detention,
probation, suspension and the like.
 He/ She must not be an officer of high positions (President, Vice President, and
Executive Secretary) from other clubs or organizations including homeroom.
 The Junior governor- elect of the organization for Elementary Department will be from
Grade 6 class while the High School Department can elect from either Grade 10 or Grade
11 for the said position.
 For Vice Governor, Mayor (Secretary), Vice Mayor (Treasurer), Economic Officer (1 st
Councilor), Public Relation Coordinator (2nd Councilor), Historian (3rd Councilor) and
Peace Officer (4th Councilor), Elementary Department can elect from Grade 4- 6 while
the High School Department can elect from Grade 7 to Grade 12 for the said positions.
Section C: Election – The officers shall be elected through an assembly using the direct
democracy system and by a majority of the vote cast for that office.

Section D: Tenure – The officers shall serve for one year and their term of office shall begin
at the time when they are elected.

Section E: Vacancy – If a vacancy occurs in the office of President, the Vice-President shall
assume the office for the remainder of the term and vacancies in any other office shall be
filled by a special election.

Section F: Impeachment and/or Replacement


 He/ She lacks in his/ her ability to do the duties and responsibilities of his office for his
constituents.
 Did not maintain the grade of 85 of any Social Studies subjects.

ARTICLE IV: DUTIES OF OFFICERS


A good team of officers is important to the efficient running of Future Advocates of Integrity,
Trust and Honesty. The following provides brief descriptions of the duties and responsibilities
each officer should assume.

Section A: Governor – it shall be the duty of the Governor to his constituents shall be:
 The governor will be the over- all in charge for the organization’s accomplishment of all
the activities.
 He/ She will also act as the voice of the organization to his constituents and also the
liaison between the students and the adviser.
 Presides over meeting of the organization.
 Maintains contact with organization adviser/s.
 Provides follow- up to organizational tasks.
 Provides encouragement and motivation to fellow officers and constituents.
 Perform such other duties as ordinarily pertain to this office.

Section B: Vice- Governor – It shall be the duty of the Vice- Governor to his constituents
shall be:
 The Vice- governor should be the Governor’s “right hand person” and should maintain
continuous contact with the President.
 He/ She must be up- to- date on all student organization communication and events.
 The Vice- Governor should also work with the organization’s Vice Mayor (Treasurer) for
the budget preparation and in maintaining the current financial status of the organization.
 Performs other duties as directed by the Governor.

Section C: Mayor (Secretary) – It shall be the duty of the Secretary to his constituents shall
be:
 Keeps a record of all constituents of the organization
 Notifies all members of meetings
 Prepares organization’s calendar of events
 Records and keeps minutes of each meeting
 Performs other duties as directed by the Governor.

Section D: Vice Mayor (Treasurer) – It shall be the duty of the Treasurer to his constituents
shall be:
 Serves as the primary signatory on financial accounts
 Serves as chair of finance committee
 Pays organization bills
 Collects organization dues
 Prepares and submits financial reports after any activities of the organization and at the
end of school year
 Performs other duties as directed by the Governor.

Section E: Economic Officer– It shall be the duty of the Auditor to his constituents shall be:
 Serves as the signatory of financial reports in the absence of the Vice Mayor
 Helps the Vice Mayor in preparing the financial reports after any activities of the
organization and at the end of school year
 Performs other duties as directed by the Governor.

Section F: Public Relation Coordinator– It shall be the duty of the PIO to his constituents
shall be:
 Publicizes the activities of the organization
 Prepares the organization’s letter for various activities
 Promotes the organization and its goals through its activities
 Develop programs to attract new members
 Performs other duties as directed by the Governor

Section F: Historian– It shall be the duty of the Historian to his constituents shall be:
 Keeps a record or history of the club’s activities and achievements during the year.
 Takes pictures at projects, socials, and special events.
 Performs other duties as directed by the Governor.

Section F: Peace Officer– It shall be the duty of the Peace Officer to his constituents shall
be:
 Maintains order at all times and to perform such other duties as assigned by the
Governor.
 Takes care of all the property of the club.
 Assists the secretary in seeing that the meeting place and/ or venues for activities are
properly prepared.
 Should be present in all club meetings.
 Performs other duties as directed by the Governor.

ARTICLE V: MEETINGS

Section A: Meetings – Regular meetings shall be held monthly during the regular school
year.

Section B: Special Meeting – Special meetings may be called by the President with the
approval of the club coordinator.

ARTICLE VI: EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

Section A: Selection – there shall be a faculty/staff advisor for Elementary and High School
Department.

Section B: Duties and Responsibilities of the Advisers – The duties and responsibilities of
the advisers to the organization shall be to:

 Maintain an awareness of the activities and programs sponsored by the organization.


 Meet on a regular basis with the president of the organization to discuss upcoming
meetings, plans, goals, and problems of the club.
 Explain and clarify campus policy and procedures that apply to the club.
 Provide direction in meeting facilitation, group-building, goal setting, and program
planning.
 Assist the club treasurer in monitoring expenditures, fundraising activities, and
corporate sponsorship to maintain an accurate and up-to-date account record.

Section C: Duties and Responsibilities of School Administration, Faculty and Staff


towards the Organization – The duties and responsibilities of school administration, faculty
and staff towards the organization are the following:
 That the aforementioned bodies will support the execution of every activities in order to
achieve the aims and purposes of Future Advocates of Integrity, Trust and Honesty
(FAITH);
 That they will help the organization to raise awareness and interest for Social Studies
subjects;
 That they will be willing on extending their help to its executive council (advisers and
officers) for the accomplishment of the different activities of the organization; and
 That they are responsible on encouraging the constituents of the organization to actively
participate and support the activities prepared by the organization.

Section D: Duties and Responsibilities of Organization to the Existing School Clubs and
Organizations and Vice Versa – The duties and responsibilities of FAITH to the existing
school clubs and organizations and vice versa are the following:
 Gives support, whether physical, emotional, financial and moral to the activities of other
clubs.
 Help other clubs on promoting their mission, vision and goals.
 Reach students and encourage them to be actively involved to the activities of other clubs
that will enhance their ability and skills.

ARTICLE VII: COMMITTEES

Section A: Program Committee – A program committee composed of the Vice-President as


chairperson and four other members shall be appointed by the President whose duty shall be
to plan the overall program of the club.

Section B: Special Committees – The President shall have the authority to appoint any
special committees, with the approval of the club coordinator, from time to time as need
demands.

ARTICLE VIII: DISSOLUTION OF THE ORGANIZATION

Section A: Causes of Dissolution – The following reasons may be cause for the dissolution
of the organization:
 No faculty member to act as the organization’s adviser’;
 No officers to act upon and execute the plan of activities of the organization;
 No constituents; and
 No fund to sponsor the organization’s activities.

ARTICLE IX: AMENDMENTS

Section A: Selection – these bylaws may be amended by a two majority vote of the club
members.

Section B: Notice – All constituents shall receive advance notice of the proposed
amendment.
