20 sts x 17 rows = 4” (10 cm) Unblocked, in
Pattern
Abbreviations:
ch = chain stitch
sk = skip
sc = single crochet
sp = space
dc = double crochet
sl st = slip stitch
tr = treble crochet
ch sp = chain space
hdc = half double crochet
RS = Right Side

Begin Pattern:
Ch 34
Row 1: RS sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across;
ch 1, turn. 33 sc
Row 2: sc in back lp only of first 3 sts, (sc in front lp only of
next 3 sts, sc in back lp only of next 3 sts) across; ch 1, turn.
Row 3: sc in front lp only of first 3 sts, (sc in back lp only of
next 3 sts, sc in front lp only of next 3 sts) across; ch 1, turn.
Rep Rows 2-3 until piece measures approx. 55 in. long,

tugging piece lengthwise occasionally to settle sts; turn to work down long side with RS facing.
Edging:
Ch 1, sc in end of first row, (hdc in end of next row, sc in end of next row) across long side; fasten off.
Repeat Edging on other long side by joining yarn in corner with RS facing.
Fasten off, leaving long end for sewing.
Finishing:
Weave in ends except sewing end.
Block.

Note: When blocked, with sewing end threaded on needle, sew short ends together with an invisible seam to
make piece a continuous circle.
