MAIN OBJECTIVE MATERIALS


1. Audio
1. Reinforce students' understanding of comparative 2. Flashcard of unit 7
adjectives.
2. Practice simple past tense using common structures.
3. Develop listening and speaking skills through vocabulary
practice.

ANTICIPATED PROBLEMS
1. Some students may struggle to recall previous vocabulary.
2. Students might be shy during group presentations.
3. Time management issues might arise due to high engagement in games.

ASSUMPTION

1. Students are familiar with the basic past simple.


2. The class has learned vocabulary from Unit 7 Lesson 1 and 2.
3. Students are comfortable working in pairs and teams.

Stage Est Timing Activity

I. Pre-less 25 minutes
on A. Game 1: Slap the board (10 mins)

- Objective: Reinforce vocabulary from Unit 7 Lesson 1-2.


- Instructions:
○ Divide the class into 2 teams.
○ Show flashcards of Unit 7 vocabulary.

B. Game 2: It’s you, Hongsam (15 minutes)

● Objective: Review What were they yesterday?.


● Instructions:
○ Divide the class into 2 teams (3 members/team).
○ Students will sit in a circle
II. While 7 mins
Lesson Game: Predict & React
A. Watch a
Video ● Objective: Maintain students’ interest by keeping them engaged
with the content.
● Instructions:
○ Pause the video at key points and ask students what they
think will happen next.
○ After each section, ask them quick questions like, “What did
you see?” or “Who was in the scene?” to test
comprehension.
○ This guessing game keeps students engaged and promotes
active listening.

B. Listen, 10 mins

2. Game: Weather Charades
a. Objective: Help students memorize new vocabulary (sunny,
rainy, cloudy, etc.) by associating words with actions.
b. Instructions:
○ Split the class into pairs or small groups.
○ One student acts out a weather type (e.g., flapping
arms like they’re in the wind for "windy") without
speaking, while the other students guess the word.
○ Rotate so each student has a turn to act and guess.
○ This activity strengthens vocabulary recall through
physical movement.

E. Make the 20 mins


Weather ● Project: Weather Chart Creation
Chart ○ Objective: Help students review and apply weather
vocabulary creatively.
○ Materials: Paper, markers, glue, and pictures or
icons representing different weather conditions.
○ Instructions:
■ Divide students into small groups, assigning
each group a set of weather vocabulary
words.
■ Students create a weekly weather chart,
adding drawings or icons for each day.
■ Once finished, each group presents their
chart to the class, explaining each day's
weather.
■ This activity reinforces vocabulary while
promoting teamwork and creativity.

F. Review 10 mins Game: Erase Words


● The teacher will write about 10 vocabulary words on the board
and give the students 30 seconds to remember all the positions of
the words on the board.
● After 30 seconds, the teacher will erase any words on the board
and the students must rewrite the word on their individual boards.
