Q. What is MS PowerPoint? What are the uses of MS PowerPoint? And breifly explain
menus in PowerPoint.
Microsoft PowerPoint is a presentation software developed by Microsoft. It is part of the
Microsoft Office suite and is widely used for creating slideshows or presentations with text,
graphics, multimedia elements, and various effects. PowerPoint is commonly used for
business presentations, educational purposes, and other situations where visual
communication is essential.
Uses of PowerPoint:
Microsoft PowerPoint is a versatile presentation software widely employed across various
sectors. Businesses utilize it for professional presentations, while educators and students
leverage its capabilities for educational materials and lectures. From sales pitches to
conference talks, PowerPoint aids in visually communicating information effectively.
Entrepreneurs use it to craft compelling pitch decks, and teams rely on it for collaborative

Powerpoint Menus:
PowerPoint features several menus that organize its functions and tools:
1. File Menu: Located at the top-left, it allows users to open, save, export, and print

files.
2. Home Menu: This central menu includes common formatting tools like font styles,
alignment options, bullet points, and more. It's where you handle basic editing tasks.
3. Insert Menu: Used for adding new elements to slides, such as text boxes, images,
shapes, charts, and multimedia like audio or video.
4. Design Menu: Offers a variety of themes and design options to enhance the visual
appearance of your presentation.
5. Transitions Menu: Controls how slides transition from one to another, including
effects and timings.
These menus collectively empower users to create, enhance, and deliver impactful
presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint.
4. Insert bullets and numbers in slide by following the steps given bellow,
a. Highlight the text box that has data. In the "Home" tab, navigate and select
the "Bullets" icon.
b. Highlight the text box that has data. In the "Home" tab, navigate and select
the "Numbering" icon.
5. Insert WordArt for title by following the steps given bellow,
a. On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click WordArt, and then click the
WordArt style that you want.
b. Type your text in the Text box. You can add a fill or effect to a shape or text
box as well as the text in the WordArt.
6. Inserted Hyper Link by following the steps given bellow,
a. On the slide, enter the text you want to turn into a hyperlink.
b. Select the text.
c. On the Insert tab of the ribbon, select Link.
d. Select Insert Link.
e. Type http://www.google.co.in/ in Address Box.
f. Select Insert.
