DANCE PERFORMANCE

Guidelines:

1. The group must be at the contest area on time. Failure to come on time will receive 1 point
deduction to the total score.
2. The Order of performances will be based on the number they had picked prior to the contest.
3. Each Group’s music must be submitted 3 days prior to the event. There should be a back-up copy in
case the submitted music fails to play.
4. Music should be wholesome and must not contain any subliminal, sexually suggestive, and
vulgar lyrics/ language.
5. The music must be at least four (4) minutes but not more than five (5) minutes. Any excess in time will
have 1 point deduction/ min to the total score.
6. Performance of dangerous choreography should be avoided.
7. The use of props and costumes should not cause any delay in the program and any harm to the
performance of other groups. Props such as oil, confetti, pyrotechnic gadgets, smoke generators or
combustible material, broken glass, live animals, sharp objects and the like are prohibited.
8. Choreography should not be vulgar and must not contain any subliminal or sexually suggestive act.
9. Appropriate clothing should be observed throughout the competition.

10. This is a final examination performance. Your final exam score will depend on the following:

1st - 100%
2nd – 96%
3rd – 92%
4th – 90%
5th – 88%
6th – 86%

NOTE: This is subject to any changes depending on your final performance. It’s possible the percentage will be
increased if the performance deserves an additional score.

11. Judges for the competition should not be related or closely affiliated with any contestant. They are also
refrained from talking to any contestant at anytime especially regarding with the competition and judging
per se.
12. All participants should conduct themselves in a manner displaying good sportsmanship throughout the
competition. Any demonstration of unsportsmanlike conduct will result in deduction of 1 point from the
final score.
13. Failure to comply with any of the foregoing rules and conditions will result to deduction of 5 points from
the final score (for the following rules without corresponding deductions)
14. Judges decision is final and irrevocable.
