• Insert the current system SW CD from the System Binder in the CD drive and wait until
the drive LED stops blinking.
- In the service mode, select System / System Settings.
- Press the Parameter Update button.
- The SW Installation shell for AXIOM ... appears.
- Under Service PC Software of, e.g. Iconos R200, click on V... (SSW) ... .
- Perform the further steps per the menu.
- Close the window.
- Remove the CD from the drive.
NOTE Please note that in the XCS SSW, under <Info> <Customer
Data>, all boxes must be filled in for correct SRS functional-
ity!
Due to a software characteristic, the registry must be edited to set up the FTP Auto transfer
correctly.
• Press the keys <Ctrl> and <Esc> simultaneously.
¹ The Windows Start menu appears.
- Select <Start> <Programs> <Command Prompt>
¹ A DOS window will appear at the bottom right edge of the display.
- In the active DOS window, type in regedit ↵ and press the Return key.
¹ The Registry Editor appears (Fig. 19 / p. 23).
- Browse to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SIEMENS\MedCom\Con-
fig\Modality\Global\MATERIAL_NUMBER] (1/Fig. 19 / p. 23)
- Double-click on V1 (2/Fig. 19 / p. 23)
¹ The Edit String window appears.
- If there is an entry in the Value data: field (3/Fig. 19 / p. 23), completely highlight it
with the left mouse button and copy it to the clipboard by pressing the <Ctrl> and <C>
keys simultaneously.
- Close the Edit String window with Cancel.
NOTE These instructions are not applicable for initial System Man-
agement installation!
The following paragraph describes how to restart System
Management if it was previously in use.
NOTE Every time the System Management tab is selected, the sta-
tus of the agents is updated. This takes approx. 4-5 seconds.
During this time, a command window is displayed.
Please wait until the Command window disappears before
you proceed.
- Press the Ping button to check whether the System Management Server is reach-
able.
- Wait a few seconds for the result window of the ping.
- If the ping is not successful the first time, try again.
- Mark the System Management Base Installed H checkbox.
¹ The Activated checkbox is marked and dimmed automatically.
• Start the installation process by pressing the Apply button.
¹ A command window will appear at the lower right corner of the screen.
- Drag the command window towards the center of the screen and enlarge it to watch
the installation routine.
¹ Installation and activation now takes about 25 -30 minutes and runs automati-
cally.
- If a window, titled Unicenter comes up, ignore it.
- At the end of the installation and activation, a pop-up appears requesting a reboot.
- Confirm the reboot with OK.
¹ During the reboot, the system requests a template from the server, whereby the
System Management installation is concluded. Depending on the connection, this
can take up to 15 minutes.
- Once the system has booted up to the application user interface, wait 15 min.
- Open the FL-C Service SW and select System / System Management.
- The following conditions must be met:
• If there are patches for the FL-C application or Microsoft Hotfixes available, install them
according to the appropriate UI.
• If the DICOM viewer was installed previously, refer to the FL-C Online Help for the pro-
cedure to reinstall it. Consult the customer to verify that the viewer should be installed.
• If the link speed of the DICOM network interface card was previously set differently from
the default, ⇒ auto, then refer to (Read out the link speed of the primary network inter-
face card / p. 5) to reestablish the desired setting.
• Check to make sure that all options for the site are available.
• Switch off the system.
• Wait until the FL-C has shut down (this may take up to 2 minutes).
• Switch on the system and wait until the FL-C application software is running.
• Check for correct functioning of the image flip with fluoroscopy.
• If the HIPAA option is installed, contact the customer network administrator to restore
the HIPAA backup and the user passwords.
Copying Patient Studies from an Old Hard Disk to a New Hard Disk
with an Empty Image Partition (optional) 1.4
Prerequisites 0
• The step ’New installation of software, including the partitioning of the HD’ must already
have been performed completely, including the restore of the site-specific data.
• There are no images on the new hard disk.
• Switch off the system.
• Wait until the FL-C has shut down.
• System power has to be turned off at the main breaker.
Work Sequence 0
• If not already done, remove the left cover from the old PC now.
- To do this, release the latch (green button at the upper right corner on the rear of the
PC housing) and pull the side panel up.
- Remove the front panel of the PC.
- Disconnect the power / data connection cables at the rear of the hard drive.
- The hard drive is installed in the 5 1/4” cage right below the DVD drive
(2/Fig. 21 / p. 29).
- Carefully pull out the hard drive from the old PC.
• Use the free SATA Power connection cable from the new PC (which is part of every PC)
and plug it into the power socket of the hard disk of the old PC as shown in
(1/Fig. 22 / p. 29).
• Use the free SATA Data connection cable from the new PC (which is part of every PC)
and plug it into the data socket of the hard disk from the old PC as shown in
(2/Fig. 22 / p. 29).
- Place the old hard disk beside the container as shown in (Fig. 24 / p. 29).
- For better access, remove the fan from the chassis and put it aside as shown in
(2/Fig. 24 / p. 29).
