the beginning and provided me with their insightful reviews to help me make my Project
successful.
As cities become increasingly crowded and the number of automobiles on the road rises, managing car
parking has become a significant challenge. While past studies have explored various parking system
structures, the demand for smart parking systems continues to grow. These systems are now a focus of
research as they present a viable solution to modern parking needs. Effective vehicle access management in
government and private sector parking lots is essential for enhancing global security.
The aim of this study is to design and implement a smart parking system that controls vehicle admission to
parking areas while preventing unauthorized access. Unlike current smart parking or parking guidance
systems, which primarily provide drivers with information about available parking spots from sensor
networks, our proposed system goes a step further by addressing the issue of unauthorized parking.
The system we developed utilizes ultrasonic sensors or IR sensors, a servo motor, and a buzzer to detect
vehicles parked in no-parking zones. When a vehicle is detected in such an area, an alarm is triggered for 1
minute. If the vehicle is removed within this time, no further action is taken. However, if the vehicle remains,
the system automatically sends an SMS alert to the traffic police using a GSM module, notifying them of the
violation.
To further enhance the system, we have added a feature that captures a photo of the unauthorized vehicle.
This photo is then automatically uploaded to Google Drive, providing visual evidence for the authorities. The
link to the image can be included in the SMS sent to the traffic police, facilitating more effective enforcement.
This integration not only strengthens the security aspect of the system but also increases the efficiency of
managing no-parking violations.

Introduction
In smart cities, there is a greater need for new and effective technology to tackle many of the problems that
are visible on the surface, as well as to make cities less crowded. Finding a parking spot is one of the most
aggravating issues for drivers. Particularly in public venues such as shopping malls, 5-star hotels, and
multiplex cinema halls. Even within the park, drivers waste time and fuel hunting for a spot to park their cars.
This will damage the driver's emotions as well as pollute the environment while searching for a parking spot.
In this study, we create and design a smart parking system that effectively addresses these issues.
In today's rapidly urbanizing world, the exponential growth in population and the resulting increase in
vehicular traffic have intensified the challenges of managing urban infrastructure, particularly car parking.
Traditional parking systems are increasingly inadequate to meet the demands of modern cities, where space is
limited and unauthorized parking can lead to significant disruptions. As a result, the development of smart
parking systems has emerged as a critical area of research, offering innovative solutions to enhance the
efficiency and security of parking management in both public and private sectors. This study aims to design
and implement an advanced smart parking system that not only regulates vehicle access to designated parking
areas but also addresses the persistent issue of unauthorized parking through real-time detection, automated
alerts, and integrated photo documentation. By incorporating cutting-edge technologies such as ultrasonic
sensors, IR sensors, GSM modules, and cloud-based storage, the proposed system represents a significant step
forward in creating a more secure and organized urban environment.

Objectives
The primary objective of this study is to design and implement a smart parking system that effectively
manages vehicle access to designated parking areas while preventing unauthorized parking in no-parking
zones. The system aims to achieve the following specific objectives:
4
Existing System Architecture
The created system can control allowed vehicle admission into parking areas while blocking unauthorised
vehicles. Currently, smart parking or parking guidance systems just receive available parking spot information
from deployed sensor networks and then simply distribute it to drivers. We'll utilise an Arduino UNO, a servo
motor, IR sensors, and an LCD display in this project. IR sensors detect vehicles entering and exiting parking
lots and transmit a signal to Arduino but some people are not follow the parking rules and regulation . it will
cause the heavy traffic on road

Problem Definition
As urban populations continue to expand, the growing number of automobiles has intensified the challenge of
managing parking spaces in cities. One of the critical issues faced by urban planners and traffic management
authorities is the prevalence of unauthorized parking in no-parking zones, which disrupts traffic flow, reduces
the availability of legitimate parking spaces, and compromises overall urban safety.
Traditional parking management systems, while providing basic guidance on available parking spots, often
lack the capability to effectively monitor and enforce no-parking regulations. Current solutions do not
adequately address the issue of vehicles parked in unauthorized areas, leading to inefficiencies in parking
management and enforcement.
The lack of a robust, automated system to detect and respond to unauthorized parking poses significant
challenges:
To address these challenges, there is a need for an advanced smart parking system that not only guides drivers
to available parking spots but also actively monitors no-parking zones, detects unauthorized vehicles, and
facilitates efficient enforcement through automated alerts and visual documentation.
This study aims to develop a smart parking system that integrates real-time detection of unauthorized vehicles
using sensors, automated alert mechanisms, and a -based evidence collection system. The solution will
enhance the enforcement of no-parking regulations, contributing to improved traffic management, urban
safety, and overall parking efficiency.

Proposed Methodology
Internet of Things (IoT) is the networking of physical items with electronics built into its design to enable
communication and the detection of interactions between them or with the surrounding environment. IoT-
based technology will provide higher levels of services in the future years, effectively altering how
individuals go about their everyday lives. Just a few categories where IoT is well established include
improvements in medical, power, agriculture, smart cities, and smart homes. As of right present, there are
more than 9 billion "Things" linked to the Internet. The Internet of Things (IoT) has revolutionized the world
with its ability to connect devices and make them work together seamlessly. The IoT can be used to create
innovative solutions that solve real-world problems. people are still Parked there vehicle in no parking area so
we have proposed the system in which we have create a module in that we have used the ultrasonic sensor or
IR sensors and servo motor buzzer , to detect the vehicle in that No parking area . Once the vehicle detect then
we can simply buzzer the alarm for 1 min . if the person remove the vehicle then no action is taken . if the
person don’t removed the vehicle then its will automatically sent the SMS by using GSM Module to traffic
police authority that some one park the vehicle in no parking area

Conclusion
The rapid urbanization and the increasing number of vehicles on the road have made efficient parking
management a critical concern for modern cities. Traditional parking systems, while addressing some aspects
of parking availability, fall short in effectively managing unauthorized parking in no-parking zones. This gap
highlights the need for a more advanced solution that not only informs drivers of available parking spots but
also enforces parking regulations in real-time.
The smart parking system developed in this study addresses this challenge by integrating a range of
technologies, including ultrasonic sensors, IR sensors, servo motors, buzzers, and GSM modules. This system
effectively detects unauthorized vehicles in no-parking areas and initiates a series of automated responses,
from triggering alarms to notifying traffic authorities via SMS.
The addition of a feature further enhances the system's capabilities by providing visual evidence of parking
violations. By automatically capturing and uploading photos of unauthorized vehicles to Google Drive, the
system not only improves the enforcement process but also ensures accountability and transparency.
In conclusion, the smart parking system proposed in this study offers a comprehensive solution to the
challenges of unauthorized parking in urban areas. By combining real-time detection, automated alerts, and
visual documentation, the system significantly improves parking management and enforcement, contributing
to safer and more organized urban environments. This approach paves the way for more secure, efficient, and
scalable parking solutions that can adapt to the evolving needs of modern cities.
