The line graph illustrates the proportion of people who visited to four different places in Scotland

including aquarium, castle, zoo and festival between 1980 to 2010.

Overall, while the percentage of visitors to castle and zoo increase almost of the period shown, the
opposite was true for aquarium and festival. It is clear that castle is the most common tourist attraction
in Scotland for most of the period.

In 1980, the percentage of visitors choosing castle was 25% while that of zoo was only about 10%.
Over the period of 20 years, from 1990 to 2010, the proportion of castle visitors increased significantly
and reached a peak of 45% in 1995, after that, it saw a slight decrease of 10% in 2010. Beside, by
contrast, in spite of some fluctuations around 10 to 15%, the figure for zoo then significantly increased
to 20% in the last year.

Looking at other places, the percentage of tourists in aquarium and zoo was 20 and 30% respectively
in 1980. Over the next 5 years, that of travellers paying a visit to aquarium reached a peak of 35% in
1985 and decreased to 20% 5 years later. Then, this figure continued to decrease by 10% in the next 20
years. Meanwhile, the percentage of Festival visitors continuously decrease throughout the period.
