The report should have title page, certificate from director (examiner), certificate from the chief of
company where the training/ project is done, table contents, list of tables, list of figures, list of
special symbols ( if any ) on separate pages. Times new roman font with font size 12 should be
used for the running text. Typing should be done on assuming to be printed on a A4 sized paper.
The report should be submitted as hard bound copy with “BLACK REXINE” and
“GOLDEN EMBOSSING”. You have to prepare Three copies of the report. Two copies to
be submitted at the School and the third copy to be kept with you for your personal use.
Chapter 1 should discuss in brief about the organization where the student is undergoing the
training and may include services offered, clients and products. It should also give a brief
introduction to the project including need and motivation (if applicable), problem definition,
limitation of existing system (If any), objective and scope of the project etc.
The last chapter must be “Concluding Remarks” where the strengths and limitations of the product
developed must be highlighted.
The core chapters (i.e., between the first and last chapter) should include the standard approaches
with the detailed description of the chosen approach for software development starting for system
analysis, feasibility study, proposed system, preliminary design, detailed design, software testing
etc…
After “Concluding remarks”, a detailed list of “References” must be included. The references must
include the Software Manuals referred, the books, research papers, technical reports, data sets
already prepared by others etc.
All appendices should follow after references. The report must include all important parts of
“Software Development Document”. The report must include, as Appendix, a “User Document”
for using the software. The user of the software is expected to be non-Programmer (and in many
cases a person who has only a working knowledge of operating computer).
The listing of all programs developed should be included as separate appendices (if permissible by
the organization). The input and output data for these programs should be included with the listing.
