Setting goals is incredibly important in my life because they give me a sense of direction and
purpose. Without goals, I might find myself drifting without knowing what I'm working toward,
which can lead to a lack of motivation. When I set clear goals, it helps me stay focused and
organized, especially with my college workload. It also allows me to measure my progress and
adjust along the way, pushing me to grow both personally and academically.
Some of my short-term goals include improving my study habits and becoming more efficient with
managing my time, especially now that college demands more from me compared to high school.
Another short-term goal is staying on top of my assignments and not falling behind. In the long-
term, I want to graduate with honors and develop skills that will make me competitive in my future
career, while also staying balanced and maintaining good mental health.
3. What are some strategies you would use to achieve your goals?
To achieve these goals, I plan to create a solid study schedule that breaks down my tasks into
manageable portions. I’ll also use tools like planners and apps to keep track of deadlines and
manage my time better. Another strategy is to stay disciplined by cutting out distractions, setting
specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals, and regularly
reviewing my progress. I also aim to stay motivated by reminding myself of my long-term goals
whenever things get challenging.
My philosophy in life is centered around continuous self-improvement and balance. I believe that
education is not just about getting good grades but also about personal growth, self-discipline, and
preparing myself to contribute positively to society. Like the philosophy of Liceo University, I
value the combination of academic excellence and personal development, striving to be a well-
rounded individual who can make a difference.
