"Did you know that trees are called the 'lungs


of the Earth'? They release oxygen and absorb
carbon dioxide, helping us breathe!"

environment.
"Trees help cool the air through a process
called transpiration. A single tree can have the
cooling effect of 10 air conditioners!"
Yazan : Trees are natural habitats for wildlife.
"Many animals, like birds, squirrels, and insects,
depend on trees for food and shelter. Without
trees, these creatures would have no home!"

example, the oldest known tree is a bristlecone
pine in California that is over 4,800 years old."

"Trees protect the soil from washing away

floods."

"Trees give us many fruits like apples, oranges,
dates, and coconuts. They also provide nuts,
seeds, and spices like cinnamon and cloves."
7. Fact 7: Trees are essential for medicine.
"Many medicines come from trees! For
example, aspirin is made from the bark of the
willow tree. Trees help keep us healthy!"
8. Fact 8: Trees absorb carbon dioxide.
"Trees are important in fighting climate change
because they absorb carbon dioxide from the
air.
Trees are Earth's Helpers: Trees help clean the
air we breathe by taking in carbon dioxide and
giving us oxygen!

Homes for Animals: Many animals, like birds,


squirrels, and insects, live in trees and depend
on them for shelter and food.

Trees Give Us Fruit: Apples, oranges, bananas,


and many other fruits come from trees!

Tall and Strong: Some trees, like the redwood


trees, can grow as tall as a building with 35
floors!
Tree Rings Tell a Story: When you look at a
tree’s trunk, the rings inside tell you how old
the tree is. One ring usually means one year of
life!

Different Shapes and Sizes: Trees come in all


sorts of shapes and sizes. Some are short, while
others are tall, and their leaves can be big or
small!

Trees Keep Us Cool: On hot days, trees provide


shade to help us stay cool.

Leaves Change Color: In some places, trees


have leaves that turn beautiful colors like red,
orange, and yellow in the fall.
Wood for Many Things: Trees give us wood,
which is used to make furniture, houses, and
even pencils!

Tree Seeds Fly!: Some tree seeds have wings,


like the seeds of a maple tree, and can fly or
spin like helicopters when they fall.

Old Friends: Some trees are really, really old.


There are trees on Earth that have been alive
for thousands of years!

Every Tree is Different: Just like people, no two


trees are exactly alike. They all have their own
special shapes and patterns!

Trees Help Stop Floods: Trees soak up a lot of


water when it rains, helping to prevent floods.
Tree Leaves Make Food: Trees use their leaves
to make food through a process called
photosynthesis, using sunlight and water.

And Trees give us shade on sunny days.
Rakan: Trees help cool the Earth.
We also get paper from trees.
Mohammed: Trees help keep the soil from
washing away.
Afnan: Trees give homes to many animals.
Trees make the world more beautiful.
Yousef: Trees Give Us Fruit, Apples, oranges,
bananas, and many other fruits come from
trees!
