Basing on my research SIP (School Implementation Plan) is a statutory requirement, is central to

the way in which the school operates and therefore should be informed by a number of agreed
principles .It is a road map that set out changes of school needs to made to improve the level of
student achievement and shows how and when the plan is implemented, schools continue to
gather this kind of data. The School head convenes the SIP team provides leadership of the plan,
clearly explain the SIP planning process to the planning team and helps them understand their
role in the process. The purpose is to guide the school and district improvement problem- solving
and planning process throughout the year and help identify and organize strategies and
resources that will lead to increased student achievement at the school. It must encompass all
highly structured way. It must use a scientific research, strategies proven to improve the core
academic areas in question. And uses policies that are the most likely to improve the areas in
question, policies that also ensure that all groups of students will see improvement. This plan
also works to increase parental involvement in student’s schooling and it includes extra
activities, promote professional development for educators.

As an educator I should be cognisant enough to our SIP because it reflects a good collegiate
practice. It is considered comprehensive in a sense that I give the status of a school .An
instrument also in which the community can hold a certain school accountable for the student
performance. It is a roadmap that establishes the changes that the school needs these changes will
be made. This School Improvement Plans are quite extensive and detailed, and offer schools a
roadmap on how to develop an effective approach to address academic challenges. In order for
the effectiveness of the plan SIP team must take a close look at its weakness and determining
scientific based approaches to addressing weaknesses, a school can quickly improve the
educational outcomes of its students.
