Ideal teacher definition

The definition of an ideal teacher can be transformed from individual representations

and educational contexts, when talking about an ideal English educator we make

references to an educator who has combination of concrete knowledge, pedagogical

skills, and personal didactic qualities, which contribute to progress. Educational of its

students; genuine commitment to teaching and the well-being of the educator, the

practice and skill to present the material in an interesting and accessible way to handle

various learning situations with calm and understanding, to know and support students

in their educational process guided by social justice and equality inside and outside the

classroom.

Educational process that allows absorbing and obtaining learning in English speaking

and writing, so the ideal teacher prioritizes the needs of his students over the interest of

academic performance for a qualitative evaluation, prioritizing the didactic within his

methodological structure through analytical monitoring of the progress of the feeling of

affinity and love so that the educational process encourages participation and optimal

and effective comprehensive development. Being a good English teacher requires a

combination of technical and personal skills. In addition to having a strong command of

the language, it is also important to have knowledge of teaching methodology, strong

interpersonal skills, and a commitment to continuous learning. If you want to be and

outstanding English teacher, you must have effective communication skills, both in the

classroom and outside of it. This involves being able to express yourself clearly and

concisely, actively listen to students, and build trusting relationships.

To clarify the teaching-learning process of the English teacher, according to Paulo

Freire, “the ideal teacher is one who facilities learning and mediates dialogue,

promoting critical reflection and social commitment” environment that I manage to

identify throughout my life, educational process in secondary school and university;

where some teachers, their teaching process was guided by educational plan of the

institution, guided by the same methodological lines and in some cases outside the

interest of the student, however, sometimes some teachers managed to complement the

love for English, guided by their creativity, passion, ability to teach, experience and

observation, transforming the classroom as a recreational place in which participating,

investigating and making mistakes was an enriching moment of learning English. In this

way I was able to meet a teacher in high school who had a beautiful way of teaching, I

really liked her way of expressing herself to the students with patience and always

interested in understanding the subject of the classroom, in the same way as students it

was easy to adapt to her class because she had a unique way of teaching. Always

directed towards theoretical and practical content related to its didactic ideal, this

generated a plan of classes and innovative experiences that were required within the

educational curriculum of the institution, always creating its own methodology. This is

mainly due to the attitude, interest and personality of the teacher who puts into his

classes and his students.

Reaching in the classroom will encourage participation, creative methods of learning,

speaking and writing of the students, being participants in the love, passion, patience,

empathy, observation, and social commitment of the teacher towards the student,

experiences from which I was able to learn, the positive vibe that a teacher can easily

transmit to create a good disposition in the classroom, without deviating from the

educational plan of the institution, which results in a better understanding and analysis
of the topics, facilitating active and authentic interaction in the classroom, in based on

the motivation of the students interests and beliefs.

A teacher, from humility, must have a high level of self-knowledge, must know what his

technical and personal strengths are as well as the areas he must work on. In the same

way, a teacher must identify the strengths of their students and enhance them as well as

their areas of development and help them work on them. Knowing students from this

angle allows the teacher to personalize the classes enough for all students to enhance

their innate abilities and develop those that they do not possess naturally. To help

students improve, it is essential that the teacher is able to evaluate them and help them

overcome the deficiencies or mistakes made.
