The MOTOTRBO Depot Tool is a radio programming software required to program MOTOTRBO radios and
repeaters. The Depot Tool allows the user to access and program (e.g. read, write, blank) the Serial Number
of MOTOTRBO subscriber radios and repeaters. The Depot Tool also allows the user to update, or flash, the
radio's codeplug and firmware.
In order to use the Flash feature of the Depot Tool application, the MOTOTRBO CPS software must be
installed locally. In addition, the appropriate Update Package for the current subscriber or repeater
configuration must also be installed.
1. Log into the internal Motorola Solutions network with a OneIT account username and password.

In the event that hardware has changed in the machine on which Depot Tool is installed, a new

is powered on in normal mode. If the radio is powered on in boot mode, the serial number(s) and the MAC
address will be preserv ed except MOTOTRBO 2 and SL Series radios. In order to use this feature, MOTOTRBO
CPS and the Firmware Update Packages appropriate for the current radio must be installed.
