10 Practice: Spoken Assignment:

Talk, Talk, Talk Spoken Assignment
Spanish III Sem 1 Name: Jaylen CHui
Date:

In this activity, you'll get an opportunity to practice talking about

the past using the preterite and the imperfect progressive tenses,
and you'll also use some of the vocabulary you learned which
relates to making plans with friends. Use your imagination, and
have fun!

For this activity, you need to make one recording with three parts.
You should record a total of 15 sentences.

I. In part one, you’ll imagine that a friend has just invited you to
meet him / her for coffee after school. Accept the invitation,
including these elements:

1. a positive reaction (like 'great' or 'okay')

2. you'd love to go, but only for a while

3. you're exhausted

4. you want to go home and relax

5. you don't want to be a party pooper

6. propose a time to meet

7. tell him/her you'll see each other later

Make sure to include the points above. Refer to the activity on

getting together with friends for the needed vocabulary. You should
write and record seven sentences for part one.

¡Qué buena idea! Me encantaría tomar un café contigo. Estoy muy

cansada después de las clases de hoy. Necesito ir a casa para descansar
un poco más tarde. No quiero ser aburrido, pero solo puedo quedarme por
un rato corto. ¿Qué tal si nos encontramos a las cuatro en la cafetería?
Nos vemos más tarde entonces.

II. At any given moment, people are doing different things. Think
about where you were last night at 8:15. What were you doing? For
part two, you’ll make up a sentence using the imperfect progressive
tense to tell what you were involved in at that moment. Then think
of three people you know and tell what they were doing at that
same moment (it's fine to guess if you don't know for sure what
they were doing). You should write and record four sentences for
part two.

1. (Tú)
Yo estaba estudiando para mi examen de matimaticas.

2.
Mi hermana estaba cocinando la cena en la cocina.

3.
Mi madre estaba viendo su programa favorito en la televisión.

4.
Mi padre estaba trabajando en su computadora.

III. For part three, imagine that you're giving a news report about
how you spent the day yesterday. Name four things that happened
during the day and use the preterite to report on them. You should
write and record four sentences for part three.

5.Visité el museo de arte ayer.

6. Estudié tres horas en la biblioteca.

7. Comí pizza con mis amigos.

8. Terminé mi proyecto de ciencias.
