Fluke 190-202 Scopemeter Guide

This guide provides an overview of how to use the basic and advanced functions of the Fluke

190-202 Scopemeter.

Overview of Functions

1. SCOPE Mode:

- Activates the oscilloscope functionality to measure and visualize waveforms.

- Use the V/div and s/div buttons to adjust voltage and time base.

- Adjust trigger settings using the TRIGGER button.

2. METER Mode:

- Used for measuring voltage, current, resistance, and continuity.

- Connect probes to correct terminals for the desired measurement.

3. RECORDER Mode:

- Records signal trends over time for long-term monitoring.

- Set duration and sampling interval for signal logging.

4. F1-F4 Function Keys:

- Context-sensitive keys that provide access to additional settings, such as FFT analysis and

zooming.

5. CURSOR Mode:

- Allows for on-screen cursors to measure time intervals, voltage levels, or frequency.
6. ZOOM Function:

- Zoom in on captured waveforms to analyze specific sections in detail.

7. Trigger Settings:

- Use the TRIGGER button to capture specific waveforms based on voltage level or edge.

8. REPLAY Mode:

- Replays previously captured waveforms for review.

9. SAVE Mode:

- Save waveforms or measurement data for later review.

10. HOLD/AUTO Range:

- Freezes the waveform display for review or automatically adjusts scale settings based on the

signal.

Hands-on Guide for Advanced Use

1. Measuring Ripple Voltage on a DC Power Supply:

- Connect probes to the DC supply.

- Set V/div to 50 mV/div to visualize the ripple.

- Use the CURSOR function to measure peak-to-peak voltage.

2. Checking the Operation of a Switching Power Supply:

- Place probes on the gate of the switching transistor.

- Adjust V/div and time base for the signal.

- Use the TRIGGER function to stabilize the signal.

3. Capturing an Intermittent Signal:

- Enter RECORDER mode, set sampling interval and duration.

- Review captured waveforms in REPLAY mode.
