It’s Ritu’s apartment and we see Ritu (late 20s) getting dressed up, trying different outfits. We, a
photograph of Ritu, Gautam and Shaan. We see that she has arranged food neatly on the dining
table. We see her cooking in the kitchen and tasting and feeling proud when she tastes it. She hears a
door bell.

Cut to:

Int/Ext. House. Door. Gautam. Ritu. Night

We see Gautam, early 30s, standing at the door, with some flowers and a box of pizza.

Gautam – Shaan so gaya?

Ritu – haan wo, din bhar khel kood karne ke baad, kaafi thaka hua thaa. Toh jald hee so gaya. Kids
you see..

Gautam – sirf kids kyun? Thake hue log hamesha, neend ke peeche chupte hain. Yahan dinner karna
sahee Nahin rahega.

Ritu – oh I am sorry! Pls come in.

Gautam gets in.

Cut to:

Int. Room.dining table. Gautam. Ritu. Night

We see Gautam and Ritu eating. Light music in the background. There is silence between the two.

Gautam – Tum bhee aaj kal aise music pasand karne lagi ho?

Ritu smiles.

Gautam – Aisa toh Nahin ki mujhe impress karne ke liye, ye music lagayi ho?

Ritu smiles again.

Gautam – agar aisa hai toh, I am impressed. He takes a bite of pizza and sips wine. Dekho we have
both made mistakes. Meri ghalatiyaan kuch zyaada hee badi hain. I agree. And I am sorry for that.

Ritu fights tears but smiles.

Ritu – Pizza kamaa ka hai. kahan se? lekin lagta hai, pizza se zyaada aaj cheez tumhare andar bhara
hua hai.

Gautam – Mera Hamesha yahi koshish raha hai, main tumhe hurt na karoon. And I guess, tumne
bhee kaafi hadh tak try kiya iske liye.

Ritu – Seasoning chahiye? I know you love chilli flakes. Teekha zabaan par hona pasand hai na
tumhe?

Gautam – Humne jee jaan lagaake is relationship ko samhaal ne koshish ki. We tried our best that ye
relation ka ship sail through the rough tides some how!!

Ritu doesn’t look at him.

Gautam – But abhee! Do matured logon ki taraha isse deal karein? Pls?

Ritu – Matlab? Kya karna chahiye?

Gautam – matlab kuch Nahin karna hai. Na sahi na ghalat. Let it..

Ritu – Go?

Gautam – Smoothly. Ritu has a strange, confused expression. Khud tumhari mom ne bataya marte
marte ki, tumne…

Ritu – Us harami aurat ne, aaj tak meri life ko barbaad karne ke alawa kuch Nahin kiya hai.

Gautam – tum hyper kyun ho rahi ho? This the problem, tumse koi baa thee Nahin kar sakta. Kar
sakta hai koi? Dekho Main bas itna keh raha hoon, ki hum dono, bade pyar se is rishte ko khatam kar
sakte hain, jisme pyaar hai hee Nahin.

Ritu smiles in pain and anger.

Gautam – Dekho, main apne responsibilities se bhaag Nahin raha, jaise tumhara pehla husband.. I
am sorry. I just wanted to say, shaan meri bhee zimmedaari hai and bhale hee ek doosre ke saath
Nahin rahenge, lekin, humdono shaan ki dekhbaal karenge. We both can be happy that way.

Ritu – matlab tum..

Gautam – divorce! Divorce chahiye mujhe. Isliye Nahin ki koi aur hai, isliye ki koi bhee aur Nahin
chahiye.

Cut to wide…

A moment of silence. Song ends in the background. We hear shaan crying, Gautam tries to get up but
Ritu gets up and goes. We see Gautam taking out a silencer gun and keeping it ready.

Neutrals of the house, in the background we hear, the baby crying and then going to sleep, being
pacified.

Cut to:

Int. Room.dining table. Gautam. Ritu. Night

Ritu comes back and sits.

Ritu - mujhe laga ki, agar life mein koi jab sab sahee karta hai, toh uske saath kuch ghalat Nahin
hoga. kya bakwas thoughts they mere. Agar khargosh ghaas poos khaata hai, toh zaruri Nahin, koi
aur khargosh ko Nahin khayega. Kya karein, kya na karein, kya sahi, kya ghalat. Sab sahi karne se bhee
guarantee Nahin ki, sab sahi hoga life mein.

Gautam takes a sip and smiles. Ritu takes a bite of the pizza.

Ritu – ab mere pehle husband ko lelo, I gave him and I gave it everything. Accident ke baad, jab wo
bed pe thaa, 3 mahine, I did everything for him, main jataa Nahin rahi, its out of love I did. Toh is it

Ritu becomes a little dominating and intense.

Gautam takes out his gun slowly.

Ritu breaks down in tears.

Gautam keeps his gun down.

Ritu – Yahan tak mom bhee thinks. I killed my husband. Agar mere saare efforts ke baad bhee, he
could recover from accident, usme meri kya ghalati hai? is it like I drove him to depression and made
him consume posion?

Gautam coughs a bit. Ritu tries to offer him water but her face contourts.

Ritu – hug karne se pehle, gun chupaa toh lete. Nahin chupaaya theek! Lekin chup chaap andar rakhe
rehte. Bach jaate. Ab jab dono mein se koi ek hee zinda reh sakta hai, toh my choice was clear.

Enjoy your last drink. Aur haan, ye rahe divorce papers.

Gautam is dead.

Arey! Padh toh lete.

Ritu enjoys her drink. Music goes on.
