THE GOD OF ALL COMFORT Isa 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and

carried our sorrows...


(2 Cor 1:3-4) Blessed be God, even the
Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father He carries our sorrows
of mercies, and the God of all comfort; {4}  Wounds
Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that  Loneliness
we may be able to comfort them which are  Worry

When you need help...
You have a Comforter (Heb 4:15) For we have not an high priest which

God is there for us. He is not unfeeling.

The Greek word for comfort means "a calling  He feels with us
alongside".
A comforter is one... He cares about hurting people

 who shares the burden He carries our sorrows.
 who helps lift the load you carry.
God Comforts us by... “Comforter” here means: "One who lays you down
on a warm bed of safety."
Holy Spirit
Acts 9:31 Then had the churches... the When you face a cold, dark night, His tender hand
comfort of the Holy Ghost... will lay you down on the soft bed of His comfort, and
bring rest to you.
The Holy Spirit is called...
 Our “Comforter” God Comforts us by...

Holy Scriptures
The Lord Jesus refers four times to the Spirit as Rom 15:4 ...comfort of the scriptures... hope.
 “The Comforter"
 Not merely as "comfort". God is a Comforter.
 He speaks soothing words in our ear
He’s a living Person Who takes...  He brings Hope
 our cares  He gives His tenderness
 our doubts  He strengthens our faith.

The Lord Jesus says to us: "I will not leave you The Bible is filled with words that will

He tells us” I won’t leave you on your own. I

Noone understands like Jesus, Psa. 46:1. He is a very present help in trouble...
He's a friend beyond compare.  He helps us
Meet Him at the throne of mercy,  He is close
He is waiting for you there.  He is always near us.

No one understands like Jesus, He is a loving and faithful comforter.


When the days are dark and drear. We can trust Him to take care of us.
No one is so near, so dear as Jesus,
Cast your every care on Him.
WE ALL NEED HIS COMFORT!
No one understands like Jesus,
Every woe He sees and feels. All of us can expect troubles and problems to come.
Tenderly He whispers comfort,
And the broken heart He heals. Job 14:1 “Man born of woman is of few days and

Spread some sunshine.
What we face... Somewhere in the Body of Christ there is a
