The chielo . (she was a woman)

She often prophesies about people. *predict*

To the God Agbala.

Asked her to come back next day because Ezinma
had been ill and she was fast a sleep.

Decided to follow her.

Uchendu : thought they were foolish because they
kill a man who said nothing.
Okonkwo: thought they were foolish because they didn’t take their
guns and matches with them to the market.
34 How many missionaries came into Mbanta?
Six missionaries. One white man and five were Africans.
35. Why did the missionary say the gods of Mbanta were not true gods?
Because they were made of wood and stones.
and were not alive.
36. Why did Okonkwo stay at the meeting?
To chase these missionaries away with whips.

He was interested in the music.

has to have his hair long and dirty.)

No , he can’t. when he dies he must be
buried in the evil forest.

They call him a convert
9. When did the problems in Umbanta began between the clan and the
converts?
When a convert killed the holy snake.
