Emcee Script for National Reading Month 2024
Emcee: To our dedicated Teacher-In-Charge, Ms. Beth O. Guevera, to the hardworking faculty and staff
of Alimbo baybay Primary School, to our collaborative barangay Officials headed by our Barangay Captain Hon.
Marivic A. Baliguat, parents, guest, dear pupils, Ladies and Gentlemen, A pleasant afternoon to all.
Emcee: This month is dedicated to the power of words the magic of stories, and the transformative
impact of reading in shaping our minds and lives. This year’s theme for National Reading Month “Magbasa,
Magdiwang, Mangarap”. Which reminds us that every book is a doorway to new worlds of ideas, and
perspectives. Whether you’re a bookworm or just beginning your reading journey, today is about igniting that
passion for books and fostering a love for lifelong learning.
Emcee: To start with, may I request everyone to please rise for our Nationalistic song followed by the
prayer via multi-media presentation.
Emcee: Excited naba kayo? Without further ado, Everyone! Today, we’re celebrating the wonderful
world of literature and the unforgettable characters that bring stories to life. From adventurous heroes to
whimsical creatures, we’ll be seeing them all right now, right here! Make way for our book character Dress-up
participants as they make their grand entrance! Let give them a big round of applause!!
Emcee: Wow! What an incredible lineup of characters we’ve had today! Thank you to all our
wonderful participants for bringing your favorite characters to life! Everyone, once again, Let’s give them big
round of applause!
Emcee: At this point in time, let us lend our ears together to our very resilient and compassionate
barangay Captain Hon. Marivic A. Baliguat as she rendered us her opening message. Around of applause
please!
Emcee: Thank you so much cap. for that very encouraging and inspiring message.
At this moment, as a token of appreciation for her time and valuable contribution, may I request Hon. Marivic
A. Baliguat for receiving the certificate of Appreciation, to be assisted by our teacher-in-charge Ms. Beth O.
Guevara. but before giving this certificate of Appreciation, let me read the citation.
Emcee: At this juncture, for the presentation of the criteria for Judging may I call in Mrs. Edralyn L.
Dela Cruz.
Emcee: Children are you ready? To enlighten us all, the categories for the story telling contest are
divided into two categories, For the category 1, We have the mother tongue, Filipino and English. The
participants in this category are the Kindergarten and Grade 1.
Emcee: For the Category 2 This is also compose of Mother tongue, Filipino and English. The
participants for this category are from grades 2,3 and 4.
Emcee: But before we proceed to our contest proper, allow me to introduce our distinguished panel of
judges:
Emcee: And now, let’s move on to the most awaited part of the program- the announcement of our winners!
As I call your name, please come here in stage to received your medal/certificate.
Emcee: At this moment, as a token of appreciation for their time and valuable contribution for this
event, may I request our judges to receive this certificate of Appreciation, to be assisted by our teacher-in-
charge Ms. Beth O. Guevara together with Mrs. Janet A. Ruiz, School English Coordinator. But before giving this
certificate of Appreciation, let me read the citation.
Emcee: As we near the conclusion of today’s event, it’s only fitting that we hear a few final words to
wrap up this memorable occasion. To deliver the closing remarks, may I call in Mrs. Janet A. Ruiz, School English
Coordinator. Let’s give her a resounding applause!
Emcee: On behalf of Alimbo Baybay Primary School, thank you for being with us today. Wishing you all
a safe journey home and wonderful day.
Judge 1: graduated her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, major in Business Management year
2011.
She is a former accounting staff of Panay health Care Multi-Purpose Cooperative for 10 years.
At present she is our administrative officer II here in Alimbo Baybay Primary School.
-she is also a News Writer and Multimedia Editor at Radio 101 News
Judge 3:
He is a public servant by heart and a family man.
By profession he is the MDRRMO Head but with so many Designations.
He was designated as Public Information Officer of Nabas from 2022-up to present. Local Economic
Development and Investment Promotion Officer with yearly award from 2026 up to present.
He is also the Designated CTEC or Tesda Focal Person as well as Red Cross Focal Person.
He is also the President of Aklan Public Information Officers Association and Vice President of Aklan Disaster
Managers Association A man with dedication, a servant without reservation
and a father with superb Love for his family.
Our third judge is no other than Mr. Reynard Madrazo Dela Cruz
Judge 4: Our last judge is a selfless mother to her children, a true leader with a compassionate heart,
She is also the barangay Captain of Alimbo Baybay and Liga ng Barangay President
