TITLE: THE IMPACT OF GLOBAL WARMING ON OUR PLANET

Objective:

 To understand the causes, effects, and solutions for global warming.

 To raise awareness about the need for sustainable living to combat climate change.

Introduction:

 Define global warming: The long-term heating of Earth’s climate system due to human
activities, primarily fossil fuel burning, leading to increased greenhouse gas
concentrations.

Causes of Global Warming:

1. Greenhouse Gases (GHGs):

o Carbon dioxide (CO2) from burning fossil fuels.
o Methane (CH4) from agriculture and waste.
o Nitrous Oxide (N2O) from industrial activities.
2. Deforestation:
o Reduces carbon sinks.
3. Industrialization and Urbanization:
o Increases carbon emissions.
4. Agricultural Practices:
o Overuse of chemical fertilizers and livestock farming.

Effects of Global Warming:

1. Climate Change:
o Rising global temperatures.
o Extreme weather events like hurricanes, droughts, and floods.
2. Melting Ice Caps and Rising Sea Levels:
o Threat to coastal areas.
o Habitat loss for polar animals.
3. Impact on Ecosystems:
o Species extinction due to habitat loss.
o Coral bleaching in oceans.
4. Impact on Human Life:
o Food and water scarcity.
o Health issues due to heatwaves and spread of diseases.

Solutions to Combat Global Warming:

1. Renewable Energy:
o Solar Energy: Harnessing sunlight for electricity reduces reliance on fossil fuels.
Solar panels are a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative to traditional power
sources.
2. Smog Towers:
o Smog towers act as giant air purifiers, filtering particulate matter from the air.
These towers can significantly reduce urban air pollution and improve public
health.
3. Massive Plantation Drives:
o Planting trees on a large scale increases carbon absorption and helps combat
deforestation. Forests serve as natural air filters, cooling the planet and preserving
biodiversity.
4. W1209 Temperature Monitoring and Control:
o Using devices like W1209 modules for monitoring temperatures can help prevent
overheating in industries and residential areas, contributing to energy efficiency
and reducing heat emissions.
5. Energy Efficiency:
o Promoting electric vehicles, energy-efficient appliances, and adopting smart grids
for optimized energy consumption.
6. Waste Management:
o Reduce, reuse, and recycle to minimize landfill emissions.
7. Personal Actions:
o Reducing energy consumption, using public transport, and spreading awareness
about the need for climate action.

Components used :

1. DC Fan(Smog Tower) and filter layers

2. W1209 temperature monitoring
3. Buzzer
4. Photovoltaic cell
Conclusion:

 Emphasize that a combination of technological solutions like solar energy, smog towers,
and temperature monitoring, along with large-scale afforestation and individual actions,
can make a significant difference.
