NOTES
Course Description: This course is based on the practise of four skills in the target language. Depending on a variety of topics presented in each unit, students also develop their knowledge of
vocabulary and grammar in accordance with the level expectations. During the course, students engage with various activities including group or pair works, communicative activities and
games. An international course book with a workbook, additional worksheets and booklets designed by the institution instructors are utilised to help students use and practice the target
language.
Listening Can engage in extended conversation on most general topics in a clearly participatory fashion, even in a noisy environment. (6,9)
Can take an active part in informal discussion in familiar contexts, commenting, putting point of view clearly, evaluating alternative proposals and making and responding
to hypotheses. (17)
Reading Can summarize and evaluate the main points of discussion on matters within his/her academic or professional competence. (8)
Can use a variety of strategies to achieve comprehension, including listening for main points, checking comprehension by using contextual clues. (10,13)
