LTE 4G RAN is a Radio Access Network (RAN) that is a key component of

the Long-Term Evolution (LTE) architecture. It manages the radio interface

between user devices (UE) and the evolved NodeB (eNodeB), which is part
of the evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (eUTRAN). The
RAN is a major component of wireless telecommunications and has evolved
through the generations of mobile networking leading up to 5G.

A Radio Access Network (RAN) is the part of a

telecommunications system that connects individual devices to
other parts of a network through radio connections. A RAN resides
between user equipment, such as a mobile phone, a computer or
any remotely controlled machine, and provides the connection
with its core network. The RAN is a major component of wireless
telecommunications and has evolved through the generations of
mobile networking leading up to 5G.

4G LTE RAN Automation testing: involves automating scenarios for LTE RAN with
Python based automation framework and monitor batch runs on re-spin builds.
some of areas covered in automation are throughput UDP/TCP Downlink/Uplink
cases,UL/DL ping, negative link loss cases, VOLTE calls.
RAN architecture is managed in kuberneties deployment. ran the automatied test
cases in internal automation server.
Roles and Responsibilites:

 Executing the scenarios manually and capture the steps required for
automation
 Writing the python scripts to automate based on identified steps in
manual execution
 identifying quality issues.
 Eliminating defects and errors with product and software development.
 Debugging and modification of existing scripts
 Involved in test scripts reviews
Participated in sprint planning meetings/sprint review meetings

The MAF framework is a Python-based framework for simulating and

analyzing 4G LTE networks. It provides a number of modules for modeling
different aspects of the network, including the physical layer, the MAC
layer, and the RLC layer. It also provides a number of tools for analyzing
the performance of the network, such as throughput, latency, and packet
loss.
The MAF framework can be used to simulate a variety of different 4G LTE
network scenarios, such as a single cell network, a multi-cell network, and
a network with heterogeneous cells. It can also be used to simulate
different types of traffic, such as voice traffic, video traffic, and data traffic.
The MAF framework is a powerful tool for simulating and analyzing 4G LTE
networks. It can be used to evaluate the performance of different network
designs and to identify potential bottlenecks. It can also be used to develop
new algorithms and protocols for 4G LTE networks.
Here is an example of how to use the MAF framework to simulate a single
cell 4G LTE network:
