1. List and give functions of the keyboard, divide the keyboard
into five parts.
2. Explain the four operations on a mouse and their functions.

ANSWERS:
1. Entering text - the most basic function of a keyboard is to type
words and numbers.
2. Moving the cursor - a keyboard can be used to move the cursor
around the screen.
3. Editing text - a keyboard can be used to select, copy, paste,
and delete text.
4. Inputting commands - many keyboards have special function
keys that can be used to input commands.
5. Controlling media playback - many keyboards have media keys
that can be used to control music or video playback

The keyboard can be divided into five parts:


1. Alphanumeric keys - the main section of the keyboard with the
letters, numbers, and symbols.
2. Function keys - the row of keys at the top of the keyboard,
usually labeled F1 through F12.
3. Numeric keypad - the number pad to the right of the main
section of the keyboard.
4. Cursor control keys - the arrow keys and other keys that control
the cursor.
5. Special keys - the keys that have special functions, such as the
escape, control, and alt keys.
