Sweet Sholy Project
The first job of the introduction is to tell the reader what your topic is and why it’s
interesting or important. This is generally accomplished with a strong opening
hook.
The hook is a striking opening sentence that clearly conveys the relevance of your
topic. Think of an interesting fact or statistic, a strong statement, a question, or a
brief anecdote that will get the reader wondering about your topic.

IMPORTANCE OF RESEARCH
Historical Methodology: is a collection of all events that occurred in the past. The
study of history, however, is the study of change over time. Historians attempt to
provide some understanding of this change. The process by which historians do
this is known collectively as historical methodology. Historians use the historical
method to gather evidence of past events, evaluate the evidence, and interpret what
the evidence reveals about things that occurred in history. The study of history is
not a science. However, many aspects of the historical method are scientific in
their approach, requiring analysis, critical evaluation, and critical thinking.
Ultimately, however, interpreting the past is subject to the bias of the individual
making the conclusions. This results in the possibility of different interpretations of
what occurred in history, even when the different accounts are based upon the
same evidence. However, Historical methodology refers to the process by which
historians gather evidence and formulate ideas about the past. In order to formulate
ideas about the past, it is necessary to examine primary sources.
