Area
I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content The learner demonstrates understanding of key concepts of the
Standards Pythagorean Theorem and its converse.
B. Performance The learner applies the Pythagorean Theorem and its converse to solve
Standards problems involving triangles and to classify triangles.
C. Objectives TOPIC: Apply the Pythagorean theorem in finding the
missing side of a right triangle, and its converse in
classifying triangles.
Specific Learning Objectives: Toward the development of the
lesson, at least 80% of the learners shall be able to:
1. Apply the Pythagorean Theorem to find the missing side of
a right triangle (KNOW).
2. Use the converse of the Pythagorean Theorem to
determine if a triangle is a right triangle (UNDERSTAND).
3. Solve real-life problems involving right triangles (DO).
4. Appreciate the practical use of the Pythagorean Theorem in
everyday life (AFFECT).
