The original mix ratio is 8:4:3 gravel: sand: cement by volume respectively.

From our project


the size of the brick we are going to make is 20cm x 10cm x 5cm. The total mass of the materials
required to make one piece of paving brick is 2.1kg. Therefore the proportions for the original
mix are

 1.12kg gravel, 0.56kg sand and 0.42kg cement

Mixture 1: Partial replacement of 10% of gravel by crushed glass and 12.5% of sand with plastic
by mass

 0.42kg cement
 1.12*10%=0.112kg crushed glass
 0.56*12.5%= 0.07kg shredded plastic
 1.12-0.112=1.008kg gravel
 0.56-0.07=0.49kg sand

Mixture 2: Partial replacement of 20% of gravel by crushed glass and 10% of sand with plastic
by mass

 0.42kg cement
 1.12*20%=0.224kg crushed glass
 0.56*10%= 0.056kg shredded plastic
 1.12-0.224=0.896kg gravel
 0.56-0.056=0.504kg sand

Mixture 3: Partial replacement of 30% of gravel by crushed glass and 10% of sand with plastic
by mass

 0.42kg cement
 1.12*30%=0.336kg crushed glass
 0.56*10%= 0.056kg shredded plastic
 1.12-0.336=0.784kg gravel
 0.56-0.056=0.504kg sand
Mixture 4: Partial replacement of 40% of gravel by crushed glass and 7.5% of sand with plastic
by mass

 0.42kg cement
 1.12*40%=0.448kg crushed glass
 0.56*7.5%= 0.042kg shredded plastic
 1.12-0.448=0.672kg gravel
 0.56-0.042=0.518kg sand

Mixture 5: Partial replacement of 50% of gravel by crushed glass and 5% of sand with plastic by
mass

 0.42kg cement
 1.12*50%=0.56kg crushed glass
 0.56*5%= 0.028kg shredded plastic
 1.12-0.56=0.56kg gravel
 0.56-0.028=0.532kg sand
