Electric Circuit Analysis I (ECEN 280), Spring 2020

Final Exam Date: May 16, 2020

Student Name: AURAK ID:

Instructions: This Final Exam consists of 6 questions. Each question worth 5 points.
Please provide your worked solutions and answers with all the necessary steps clearly and
in readable English. Please use pen (don’t use red pen) for all calculations. Please write
your FULL NAME and AURAK ID at the top of the first page of YOUR WORKSHEET
and submit the scanned copy of your worked solutions (WORK SHEET) to the instructor
email address ([email protected]) immediately at the end of the Exam time. Please make
sure that your scanned copy is clear and readable.

Time: 11:00 -13:00

1. The circuit in Fig. 1 shows a cascade connection of two integrators. Determine the output
voltages v01 and v0 at t= 2 ms assume the integrators are reset to 0 V at t=0. Use the time
domain method that you learnt in the course to solve the problem.

2. The switch in Fig. 2 has been closed at t=0. Determine the capacitor voltage v(t) for t > 0
assuming the capacitor has reached steady state for t < 0. Find the time t0 that is required
for the capacitor voltage to reach 50% of its final value at t=. Use the time domain
method that you learnt in the course to solve the problem.
