• Sec 2 G1 and G2 students taking subjects at More Demanding Level (MDL) may
continue to do so at Sec 3 if they achieve a good pass (60% or better) in the
SBB subject at the end of Sec 2 and are recommended by their subject teachers
to continue at Sec 3.
• A notification will be sent through Parents Gateway to inform students whether
they are offered subjects at MDL. These subjects will not be reflected in the
streaming options.
• Subjects offered at MDL at Sec 3 are:
(1) EL
(2) MT
(3) Maths
(4) Humanities (Social Studies & Elective)*
(5) Science (Bio, Chem) or Science(Phy, Chem)
* Students offered Humanities at MDL must choose the corresponding Elective

O-Level Drama and O-Level Music
• O-Level Drama is only offered to DEP students who meet the
school criteria and O-Level Music is offered to students who
meet the MOE criteria.
• These subjects will not be shown in the subject combinations
as an option.
• Students offering drama or music are not allowed to offer
another course work subject.
• Students offering drama or music are not allowed to offer
HMT/MSP/CSP as lessons for these subjects are also
conducted in the afternoon.

• Subject Eligibility Criteria and Overall Percentage at Sec 2 (can also be used as tie-breaker & rank order of students)

2. Choice
• Rank order – 1st Choice will be considered if the results meet the subject criteria

3. Vacancy
• Availability of places in a particular option combination

4. Subjects offered depends on:


• Availability of teacher resource and a subject will have a maximum 40 students teaching group
size if too many students opt for it.
• Take-up rate – a subject will not be offered if the minimum 10 students take-up rate is not met.

How to log in to SDM?

❖ Login ID is the 1st 5 letters of your name on the


classlist and last 5 characters of your BC or
student pass number.
❖ Password is your BC or student pass number
❖ Must enter in Capital letters

Each student can key in up to 8 options.
Click on Choice to see which combinations
you qualify for. Combinations will be
greyed out if you do not meet the criteria.
Select the combination
you wish to put as Choice
1. The list of subjects will
be shown. Click the
options for Humanities (if
any) and Science (by
default the first option
will be selected).
Proceed to choose your
Choice 2, Choice 3 and
so on.
After you have made
your choices,
remember to click
on Submit

You can re-select
and re-submit so

EOY Streaming Results

❖ EOY streaming results will be released via SDM.


❖ Login to SDM to view the combination you are
posted to and your form class.
❖ The appeal tab will only be available when the
streaming results are released.
Making an appeal
❖ Only appeals made through SDM will be considered
(no emails, letters or phone calls).
❖ Each student is allowed to make one appeal only.
❖ Write down the combination or subject you wish to
appeal for and the reason for it. Be succinct and
clear in your writing.
❖ Appeal outcomes will be released through SDM on
18 Nov. The school’s decision is final. No further
appeal will be allowed.
