Introduction:
Basically a relationship is the connection between two or more than two people. In
our lives, we have many different kinds of relationships with our family, our
friends, our teachers and our neighbors.
A romantic or sexual relationship is a bit different from other relationships and it
can be wonderful, fulfilling and fun, but it can also be stressful or complicated.
A romantic relationship usually involves an emotional intellectual and sexual
connection with another individual or individuals.Everyone has their own unique
expectation or romantic and sexual relationships.It’s normal if your expectations
for romantic or sexual relationships differ from your parents and even from your
friends

GRAMMAR:
Linking words:
A. Concept:
- Linking verbs do not express action. Instead, they connect the subject of the verb
with an adjective or noun that describes or identifies the subject.
-After linking verbs are usually an adjective or a noun phrase.
-Some linking verbs: be(am/is/are/was/were), become, seem, appear, grow, get,
remain, feel, look, sound, prove, become, …
B. Structure:

Subject + linking verbs + adjective/noun


Example:
-I feel sorry for his loss.
-The company is growing bigger and bigger.
-The weather has turned cold.
C. Exercise:

Cleft sentences: Using to focus on a particular part in the sentences such as
subjects, adverbs, …
A. Subject focus:

It + is/was + Noun+ that/who + verb + object


Example:
My brother collected these foreign stamps
It was my brother who collected these foreign stamps
My recent computer helps me a lot in preparing information for the statement.
It was my recent computer that helps me a lot in preparing information for the
statement.
B. Object focus:
 Humans:

It + is/was + noun/pronoun who(m) + S + V


Example:
I met Vinh Khang on the way to school.
It was Vinh Khang whom I met on the way to school
 Objects:

It+ is/was + noun + that + S + V.


Example:
My brother bought an old motorbike from our neighbor.
It was an old motorbike that my brother bought from our neighbor.
C. Abverbial focus:

It + is/was + Adverbial phrase + that + S + V


Example:
We first met in December.
It was in the December that we first met.

D. Cleft sentences in passive:
 Humans:

It + is/was + Noun/pronoun + who + be + V3/-ed.


Example:
Fans gave that singer a lot of flowers.
It was that singer who was given a lot of flowers.
 Objects:

It + is/was + Noun + that + be + V3/-ed.


Example:
People talk about this film.
It is this film that is talked about.
