Anticipated Problems & Solutions:

Problems

1A- Ss might think that /mustn’t/ and /don’t have to/ have the same meaning because /must/ and /have to/ have
very similar meanings.

2A- The TL might be challenging somewhat for the Ss.

Solutions

1A- T tells them that /mustn’t/ means /can’t/ which is an obligation not to do something (There’s no choice.).
/don’t have to/ means (It’s not necessary to do it, but there’s a choice.

2A- T provides them with a controlled and a less-controlled activities.
