WELCOME SPEECH
Good morning, all, Little Millennium Mogappair West/Nolambur welcomes you all to the
much-anticipated 11th Sports Day, “Around the Globe Sports Fest. It is with immense
excitement and joy that I welcome you all to our very special event – Around the Globe
Sports Fest! Today, we celebrate not just the spirit of sportsmanship but also the diversity and
unity that makes our world so vibrant.
Sports can teach you values such as fairness, teambuilding, equality, perseverance, discipline,
inclusion and respect. Sports has the power to provide a universal framework for learning
values thus contributing to the development of soft skills which is needed for responsible
citizenship
Our little champions are all set to take us on a journey across the globe, showcasing their
energy, enthusiasm, and the unique essence of different cultures through sports.
I welcome to all our dear parents, our esteemed chief guest Mr Shahul Hameed sir, our school
correspondent Mrs Poornima mam, our school director Mr Vivek sir and our school centre
head Mrs. Niranjana Devi mam.
At Little Millennium we strongly believe that for the holistic development of the child sports
is as important as academics. More than physical activity these events provide our children an
opportunity to build confidence that helps in goal Setting, cooperation and collaboration.
To our dedicated teachers and staff, your hard work and dedication in preparing for this event
are truly commendable. You have nurtured and guided our young athletes, and today, we see
the fruits of your efforts.
And to our shining stars, the children, today is your day! Each one of you represents a
different country, bringing the spirit of that nation to life. Whether you’re running, jumping,
or cheering, remember that the most important thing is to have fun and do your best. You are
all winners in our eyes!
As we celebrate “Around the Globe Sports Fest” it is crucial to remember the importance
of fostering global tolerance and perspective right from these foundational years. By learning
about different cultures and embracing diversity, our children grow up with a sense of
empathy and understanding, essential traits for becoming true global citizens. These early
experiences shape their worldview, teaching them to appreciate the richness of our global
community and to approach differences with respect and curiosity.
Our goal at Little Millennium is not just to educate but to instill values that will help our
children thrive in an interconnected world. By promoting global awareness and tolerance, we
are preparing them to be compassionate, thoughtful, and proactive members of society, ready
to make a positive impact wherever they go.
As we watch our young explorers race around the field, picking up flags from different
corners of the globe, let’s celebrate the unity, diversity, and joy that sports bring to our lives.
Let’s cheer loudly, smile broadly, and make this a day to remember.
Without further ado, let’s kick off “Around the Globe Sports Fest” Let the games begin and
may everyone have a fantastic time!
Thank you and enjoy the day!

19.EW display tunnel with ladder jump
From the age of about 3 years, typically developing young children learn to jump over an
obstacle. This action requires more planning and coordination than a simple forward jump:
the child needs to start the jump by standing fairly close to the obstacle, and to jump high and
far forward enough to clear it.
Jumping over a series of obstacles adds another level of difficulty, as balance on landing from
the first jump needs to be controlled to allow the initiation of the next jump.

stimulate cognitive activity, and restores momentum.

24.Rtf1 and 2 display parachute play

 Parachutes can be a fun accessory for indoor story-times or outdoor play, for groups
of children from birth to adolescence
 Collaborative and non-competitive – children work together, need to spread out
around the chute and all participate for it to work
 Helps to develop rhythm
 Builds shoulder, arm and hand muscle strength
 It’s a great way to gain children’s attention when it’s wandering, or to settle down
chaotic energy in a group time
 It’s fun!
