SCENE 1

DAY-AT THEIR APARTMENT

Rishab: Can you please put moms needs before yours and not study in a
uni close by to home, you know she's been sick.

Rohan: yeah no, it's my future we are talking about moms illness is
momentary i can't take such a risk.

Rishab: you always do this, can you please just stop and think for
once! I'm tired of explaining things to you all the time.

Rohan: What do you mean I always do this?

Rishab: Rohan, there have been countless times where uve acted on
impulse

Rohan: u call ME wanting to have a STABLE FUTURE a decision made on

impulse?

Rishab: yeah, u WANTING TO HAVE A STABLE FUTURE MEANS studying 12,000

kms away

(Rohan walks around stage in frustration a small pause)

Rohan: you know She's not alone she has you

Rishab: yeah and the money is gonna grow itself on trees yea

Rishab: Rohan u should rethink this i highly doubt ur future will be

Rishab: (rubs hand on hand or grabs hair and walks around the
stage)ur so immature its suffocating

(Rohan walks away from the fight)

SCENE 2

(Rohan Doesn't leave the stage he continues to walk around

and grabs his phone and rings ranveer up)

Rohan: Hello?

Ranveer: hello

Rohan: bro im gonna strangle my brother

Ranveer: haha what happened

Rohan: hes this hes all that man ordering me around like i'm
some 10 yr old

Ranveer: thats cus u act like a 10 yr old

Rohan: screw this i need a break

Ranveer: come over

Rohan: im alr omw

(Calls ends and unni krishanan knocks on the door to walk

in)

Unnikrishnan: (goodmorning in a really tamil accent and tone

with poor english) good morning sir happy birthday

Ranveer: thankyou unnikrishnan

Unnikrishnan: today your turning 19 big day and party girls

Ranveer: yeah i know

Unnikrishnan: sir you know in tamil nadu….(some kind of

weird ass reference)

Ranveer: ur joking

Unnikrishnan: i'm not joking sir im serious

Ranveer: thats crazy (murmuring) abey ye mereko kab chodega

Unnikrishnan: Did u say something sir

Ranveer: nono nothing…(clears throat) btw unnikrishnan by

chance are my parents coming

Unnikrishnan: no sir ur parents are very busy (goes on to

glaze them)

Ranveer: Ah yes of course, well regardless rohan is coming

over so lmk when hes here u may leave now

Unnikrishnan: okay sir i will let you know but before that
ur parents have both requested me to give u this (pulls out
envelope and hand it's over)

Ranveer: (opens envelope) whats this

Unnikrishnan: Ayo deveme nothing nothing sir (hands another

envelope)

Ranveer: (murmurs) isko kuch karne nahi aata or just takes

the envelope opens it and takes out cash (deep breath in )

Rohan: can you leave me for a bit unnikrishanan

(unnikrishnan leaves rohan pulls out a picture book on the
slideshow we show pictures of rohan and parents from back
when he was younger)

Unnikrishnan: sir rohan is here

Ranveer: (hastily closes the book)

Rohan: Ranveeeeerrrrrrr birhtdayyy boyyyy (goes in for a hug)

Ranveer: (tries to get him off) whats wrong with u

Rohan: ive had the worst day of my life

Ranveer: u had an argument with ur brother

Rohan: worst day of my life.

Ranveer: (finally pushes ranveer off the hug) i have things

to do

Rohan: no u dont

Ranveer: Yeah i do acc there's a huge party this evening for

my birthday

Rohan: and u didnt invite me?

Ranveer: no ofc not

Rohan: so what time do we have to be there

Ranveer: 8pm

Rohan: thats in 10 minutes bro

Ranveer: you can tell time?? (throws carkeys or any similar

object) come drop me
Rohan: Drop you? I thought i was gonna be your plus 1

(they both walk off stage)

SCENE 3

Scene setting changes to a bar so a bunch of tables are

arranged or we can get boxes to give the effect of a high
table with shanaya and a few other bgs already seated

(Rohan and Rishab walk in)

Rohan: woah….are we late?

Rishab: no were on time

Rohan: adhiraj ka ohhh yeaaahhh (he walks away talking to one

of the girls with drinks in their hand)

Rishab: I need a drink (heads to the bar)

(At the bar a bartender is placed and shanaya is seated)

RANVEER: (smiles) Mind if I join you?

SHANAYA (Looks up, slightly surprised) Not at all. It's your

party, after all.

RANVEER (Leaning on the bar) True, but you looked like you
could use some company. What's your name?

SHANAYA (Smiles) Shanaya.

RANVEER Beautiful name, nice to meet you shanaya I'm Ranveer,

SHANAYA: yeah, I gathered that from the decorations. Happy
birthday, Ranveer.
RANVEER: Thank you,shanaya So, tell me, what brings you to my
little celebration tonight?

SHANAYA (Chuckles) I'm here with a friend, but she seems to

have vanished into the crowd.

RANVEER Well, her loss is my gain. How about I keep you

company until she comes back?

SHANAYA (Playfully) And what makes you think I want company?

RANVEER (Smiling) Just a guess. Besides, I make excellent

company. I'm a great listener.

SHANAYA (Laughs softly) Is that so? Alright, Mr. Great

Listener, tell me something interesting about yourself.

RANVEER (Laughs) Interesting, huh? Well, besides throwing the

best parties in town, I have a knack for finding hidden gems.
Like you, for instance.

SHANAYA (Raises an eyebrow) A hidden gem, huh? That's quite a

line.

RANVEER Not just a line, There's something about you that

stands out

SHANAYA (Amused) And whats that

RANVEER dont know yet but i intend to find out, well i spoke
about myself your turn

SHANAYA (Sighs) Well, I'm an actress. Moved to the city a few

months ago, chasing dreams and all that.

RANVEER (Leans in, genuinely interested) An actress? That’s

fascinating. Have you landed any roles yet?
SHANAYA (Shakes her head) Not yet. It's tough out here, I
blame my assistant

RANVEER: (laughs) your assistant?

SHANAYA: i've been in the city for about 4 months and i

haven't even gotten close to a main role

RANVEER: wow 4 months thats long

SHANAYA: yeah, i think im cutting him to much slack i feel

like im the one doing all the work all the time

RANVERR: thats no good

(phone rings)

SHANAYA: sorry i have to take this

RANVEER: sure as long i can be the one to call you next

SHANAYA: picks up the phone smiling realizes she has to leave

RANVEER: noo leaving already?

SHANAYA: yep i think my assistant may have finally done

something right

RANVEER: man he has horrible timing too

SHANAYA: (laughs) bye ranveer

SCENE 4

(Shanaya sneaks up on her PA as he is trying to run from her)

Shanaya: OMG RAJUUU! (excitedly) wait a minute for me.

Raju: oh Shanaya how are you i was just thinking (takes a
deep breath) you

Shanaya: That's crazy its like were interconnected you were

thinking about me while I was thinking about you

Raju: yeah I wouldn't read to much into it just a coincidence

probably

Shanaya: MAYBE but id rather think it because we are sooo in

sync, now since I know u sooo well I bet I can guess what ur
gonna tell me next

Raju: what no Shanaya

Shanaya: (finger thing) I got the main roleeee in that tiger

shroff film didn't I, god I knew it about time honestly Ive
been here for 4 months and nothing came up but that's fine
cus acting in this is gonna be my big break through god im
soooo exicted

Raju: (exhausted and irritated) shit you still remember that?

Shanaya: Remember? wdym OFCOURSE I remember ive been dreaming

about it for the past 3 months

Raju: Yeah no im sorry maam u didn't land the role

Shanaya: What (in shock) ur joking there is no way I didn't

land it seriously this is all your fault raju cant you do
anything right

Raju: MY FAULT?? what are you talking about

Shanaya: I feel like im always the one doing all the work u
don't contribute at all
Raju: you? do all the work? u haven't received a pay check in
4 months because YOU cannot act

Shanaya: okkay now i am not really liking all this negative

energy from you and is that a vain popping outside ur head ?

Raju: YES BECAUSE ALL I HAVE DONE IS MADE A FOOL OUT OF

MYSELF REPRESENTING YOU, im losing more contracts being
associated with you than receiving them. NO ONE TAKES ME
SERIOUSLY ANYMORE all because you cannot ACT.

Shanaya: you know what i dont need this right now especially
from you ugh such a meane, you know what you are fired i am
just going to represent myself, i guess what they say is true
if you wanna get something done you gotta do it yourself.

Raju PA: (laughs hysterically ) FIRED OH GOD thats probably

going to make me more money than you ever could have made for
me in a life time.

Narrator interrupts them and asks them both to leave stage

making a regard on how that was a heated argument the story
further follows raju the PA who momentarily leaves the stage

SCENE 5

Scene takes place with a split screen of a restaurant and the

street outside the restaurant where siana is stood talking on
the call with devon who is seated inside the restaurant

SIANA: (strained) Devon, for the love of God, can you just
listen?

GUYS AT THE TABLE: imitating "yes devoonnnnn" "yess devuuu"

SIANA: (softly) Devon?

SIANA: (psycho Maryam) DEVON?!?!?!!

DEVON:I dont want to hear it .

SIANA: Oh, please! Can I just see my son?

DEVON: no u cannot see him

SIANA: IM HIS MOTHER U CANT ISOLATE A CHILD FROM HIS MOTHER

DEVON: siana I do not intend to pick my kid up from the day

care 3 hrs later cus u couldn't make it for the 50th time,
neither do I want to get a call from the security at the
gaming centre that hes lost and alone NOR do I... yeah I just
don't want him to see you bro

SIANA: your still stuck on all of that?? get a life devon

DEVON: MISTAKES HAPPEN ONCE SIA

SIANA: god devon u remind me everyday why I divorced you

on me I was practically perfect as a wife

DEVON:(to the guys at the table) she just said she was
perfect as a wife (puts head down and they all try to support
him)

SIANA: Hello?

SIANA: HELLOOOO??
DEVON: yea yes hello hi hey don't scream my ears hurt

SIANA: devon please I just want to see my son

DEVON: and I want him to see tomorrow so again for the 3RRDDD
TIME NO SIAANNAA NO

SIANA: forget this (hangs up)

(Siana barges in to the restaurant where devon and his

friends are sitting)

DEVON: SIA-SIANA?!??!? WHAT

SIANA: I need to see him devon (bangs hands on the table)

DEVON: (runs around the table) WHATS WRONG WITH U HOW ARE U
HERE?? WHY ARE U HERE?? HOW DID U KNOW I WAS HERE???

GUYS AT TABLE: cant believe u married her

SIANA: (looks at them and they all get scared and leave the
stage in a hurry)

DEVON: GREAT NOW IM ALONE WITH YOU NONO PLEASE LET ME LIVE

SIANA: u make it sound like im gonna murder u

DEVON: YOU HAVE A KNIFE IN UR HAND

SIANA: what are you (Raises hand and immedietly keeps the
knife down)

DEVON: okay okay (holds his heart and tries to take deep
breaths) calm down 1..2...yeah no listen siana u cannot be
doing this, are u stalking me??
SIANA: I wasn't no I wasn't stalking you I wouldn't call
using find my stalking

DEVON: your crazy you know that right

SIANA: devon I just want to

DEVON: see your son yeah I know but I cant allow it

SIANA: devonnnn(frustratedly runs hand through hair

unintentionally picking up the knife)

DEVON: (runs off stage in scared)

SIANA: (drops knife and exits off stage calling devon)
