Atención: este contenido está estructurado para el


profesor. Aun así, lo difundo con la única intención de que a los alumnos y sus familias
pueda resultarles más sencillo concretar los objetivos, el vocabulario y las estructuras
que trabajamos en clase de Inglés.

Además de los objetivos que se trabajan en cada unidad, se incluye el vocabulario y las estructuras. Estos se
categorizan en:

• Key language (Lenguaje clave): Es el grupo en el que se incluye el vocabulario y las estructuras
fundamentales del tema.

• Additional language (Lenguaje adicional): Vocabulario y estructuras que amplían el tema.

• Revision (Revisión): Repaso de vocabulario y estructuras ya vistas anteriormente en este método.

UNIT WELCOME Welcome to our blog.


Objectives:
To review present simple questions and short answers.

Target language:
• Key language: Hi, Did you have a good holiday? How come? How are things? Are you ready for the new school
year? Yeah, I am. Shall we … ? Let’s …, blog, competition, prize.

• Additional language: character names, See you! wi-fi, online.

• Revision: past simple, present simple, can for ability and permission, shall for suggestions, school
vocabulary.

Objectives:
To review daily routines, likes and preferences.

Target language:
• Key language: present simple for routines, like/love + -ing/nouns, ’d like + infinitive, question words, short
answers, so, before.

• Additional language: character names.

• Revision: sports, activities, school subjects, superlative adjectives.

Objectives:
To read about school subjects and choose their favourites.

Target language:
• Key language: numbers, adjectives, subject, exam, second language, dictionary, science, geography, lesson,
history, competition, prize, study.
• Additional language: We all agree that …, We all want …, the past.

• Revision: school subjects: English, French, geography, German, history, maths, science, Spanish, sport,
music.

Objectives:
To have further practice with school subjects and sing a song.

Target language:
• Key language: definitions, rhyming words, computer studies, art.

• Additional language: hockey, map.

• Revision: school subjects, present simple, study, learn about, too + adjective, cool.

Objectives:
To practise connected speech and communication.

Target language:
• Key language: Hi, How come? How are things? Did you have a good holiday? Are you ready for the new school
year?

• Additional language: short responses: Yeah, great, thanks! Good thanks! Yeah, I am.

• Revision: holiday activities, regular/irregular verbs in simple past tense, e.g. travelled, went, watched, walked,
played.

Objectives:
To read a story and review language from the unit.

Target language:
• Key language: language in the story, Diggory Bones, stones, archaeologist, dinosaur, ancient, The Rosetta
Stone, program.

• Additional language: School of Archaeology, classes.

• Revision: neck, bone, museum, adjectives, language from the unit.


UNIT ONE Time for television.
Objectives:
To review TV programmes pupils know, and watch a short video that presents the time in context.

Target language:
•Key language: time: o’clock, past (e.g. ten, quarter, half), to (e.g. twenty, quarter).

• Additional language: in a minute, at the same time, just in time.

• Revision: character names, TV programmes, can for permission and ability.

Objectives:
To practise telling the time and talk about school routines.

Target language:
• Key language: time, What time is it? present simple for routines (affirmative), present simple (questions
and affirmative).

• Revision: days of the week, school subjects.

Objectives:
To read and talk about TV programmes.

Target language:
• Key language: TV programmes: cartoon, weather, documentary, comedy, news, quiz show, sport; TV: episode,
series, stream.

• Revision: sports, adjectives about school subjects and choose their favourites.

Objectives:
To have further practice in reading and talking about TV programmes and sing a song.

Target language:
• Key language: TV programmes: rock music video, action films; comparative and superlative adjectives:
interesting, exciting, boring, good, bad, funny, amazing; past simple, channel, turn on

• Additional language: not my thing, the rest, until, the swings, wait.

• Revision: time, comparatives, superlatives.

Objectives:
To identify and discriminate between the sounds sh and ch, and to practise collaboration.
Target language:
• Key language: What can we watch? Can’t we all watch …? Can we change the channel? Well, we can watch it

Objectives:
To read a story and review language from the unit.

Target language:
• Key language: language in the story: TV screen, cameraman, thief, password, treasure, reporter, past simple.

• Additional language: I’ve got no time to lose, of course.

• Revision: language from the unit.

Objectives:
To learn about technology used to film nature documentaries and talk about which programmes they find
interesting.

Target language:
• Key language: camera operator, computer-generated images, drone, extinct, factual, incredible, landscape,
long-life batteries, low-light camera, migration, special effects, technician, underwater.

• Revision: channel, dinosaur, documentary, episode, series, amazing, incredible, exciting, helicopter, nature,
technology.

Objectives:
To practise using adjectives to describe a nature documentary they watched recently and say why people
should watch it.

Target language:
• Key language: adjectives.

• Additional language: insects, butterflies, bees, pollinating.

• Revision: documentary, nature, amazing, interesting, incredible.


UNIT TWO People at work.
Objectives:
To review jobs and talk about plans, intentions and predictions using going to.

Target language:
• Key language: plans and intentions: going to (affirmative, negative, interrogative), I think I’m going to … , jobs:
nurse, fire fighter, teacher, dentist; burn down, exhibition.

• Revision: jobs.

Objectives:
To practise using going to for plans and intentions and sing a song.

Target language:
• Key language: plans, intentions and present evidence: going to, rhyming words, question words: where, who,
when, What time …? telling the time, brush (her) teeth, show, good rules.

• Revision: actions, verbs for daily routines, sports.

Objectives:
To practise talking about people and the jobs they do.

Target language:
• Key language: jobs: actor, artist, cook, dentist, doctor, football player, journalist, manager, mechanic, nurse,
pilot, sports commentator, video game designer, writer.

• Additional language: repair, design.

• Revision: mixed tenses, questions.

Objectives:
To have further practice using going to to talk about people’s jobs.

Target language:
• Key language: plans, intentions and predictions: going to, present continuous, present simple, jobs, repair.

Objectives:
To identify and practise the /ə/ sound, in particular with words ending in -er/-or.

Target language:
• Key language: What are you going to be? I think I’m going to be a (nurse).

• Additional language: I think, I’m not sure, Maybe, That’s great, That’s an interesting job!

• Revision: be good at + noun / verb + -ing; adjectives to describe qualities: brave, creative, kind, patient,
friendly.

To learn about fire and safety procedures.

Target language:

Objectives:
To read safety advice about what to do and what not to do in the case of a fire at home, and discuss safety
advice for other situations.

• Revision: candles, cooker, fire, fire fighter, fireplace, safety, water, blankets.

Objectives:
To review language from Units 1 and 2, and tell and write a story.

Target language:
• Key language: vocabulary and language from Units 1 and 2.

•Additional language: platform Materials.

• Key vocabulary from Units 1 and 2, each word written on a small piece of paper, enough for one for each pupil
in the class.

Objectives:
To review language from Units 1 and 2, and play a board game.

Target language:
• Key language: vocabulary and language from Units 1 and 2.

• Revision: language for playing games Materials.
