It is the general-purpose modelling language used to visualize the system. It is a graphical
language that is standard to the software industry for specifying, visualizing, constructing,
and documenting the artifacts of the software system, as well as for business modelling.

2.1 Problem statement

PROBLEM STATEMENTS FOR FLIPKART:-

1) Reservation Management:
A hotel management system should be able to manage reservations, including creating
and modifying bookings, assigning rooms, and keeping track of availability.

2) Room Management: A hotel management system should be able to manage rooms,


including room types, rates, occupancy, and maintenance schedules.

3) Guest Management: A hotel management system should be able to manage guest


information, including contact details, preferences, and billing information.

4) Payment Processing: A hotel management system should be able to process payments


for reservations, room charges, and other services.

5) Inventory Management: A hotel management system should be able to manage


inventory, including stock levels, ordering, and tracking.

6) Employee Management: A hotel management system should be able to manage


employee schedules, payroll, and performance evaluations.

7) Reporting and Analytics: A hotel management system should be able to generate

2.2 SRS for flipkart

Functional Requirements:
1) User Registration: The hotel management system should allow users to register
themselves by providing basic personal details like name, contact number, and email
address.

2) Room Booking: The system should allow customers to book a room by selecting the
type of room, check-in and check-out dates, and number of occupants. The system
should display the availability of rooms and the corresponding rates.

3) Room Cancellation: Customers should be able to cancel their room bookings with ease,
and the system should provide a refund if applicable.

4) Room Check-in: The hotel management system should allow customers to check-in to
their room by providing their booking details and personal identification.

5) Room Check-out: Customers should be able to check-out of their room by providing


their booking details and payment information. The system should automatically
calculate the total amount payable.

6) Payment Gateway Integration: The system should be integrated with a secure payment
gateway that allows customers to make payments using credit/debit cards or other
online payment methods.

7) Room Service: The hotel management system should allow customers to request room
service, such as housekeeping or room cleaning, through the system. The system
should send a notification to the hotel staff, who will respond to the request.
