Project Title

"Basurahan ng Bayan: Bawat Basura, Ayusin sa Tama"

II. Background and Rationale

Proper waste management is essential for maintaining cleanliness and environmental sustainability in
our community. However, in Barangay Cumadcad, there is a noticeable lack of accessible trash disposal
facilities, particularly in high-traffic areas such as the market. This deficiency contributes to littering and
environmental degradation. Thus, the implementation of the "Basurahan ng Bayan" project aims to
address this issue by strategically placing trash bins throughout the barangay, encouraging residents and
market-goers to dispose of their waste properly.

NIII. Description of the Project

The "Basurahan ng Bayan" project involves the installation of durable and strategically placed trash bins
in key locations within Barangay Cumadcad, with a particular focus on the market area. These trash bins
will be designed to withstand various weather conditions and will be clearly labeled for proper waste
segregation, promoting responsible disposal practices among residents and visitors alike.

IV. Goals and Objectives

The project aims to:

1. Provide convenient access to trash bins for residents and market-goers in Barangay Cumadcad.

2. Promote cleanliness and proper waste management practices within the community.

3. Reduce littering and environmental pollution in key areas, particularly in the market.

V. Strategies/Implementation Mechanics

- Procure durable and environmentally friendly trash bins suitable for outdoor use.

- Collaborate with local authorities and community leaders to identify suitable locations for trash bin
installation.

- Implement an awareness campaign to educate residents and market-goers about the importance of
proper waste disposal and the use of designated trash bins.
VI. Targets of the Project

- Install a minimum of 20 strategically placed trash bins throughout Barangay Cumadcad within six
months of project commencement.

- Achieve a 50% reduction in littering incidents in the market area within the first year of
implementation.

- Conduct regular monitoring and evaluation to assess the effectiveness of the project and make
necessary adjustments as needed.

VII. Fund Source

The funding for the "Basurahan ng Bayan" project will be sourced from the barangay's annual budget
allocated for environmental initiatives and waste management projects. Additionally, partnerships with
local businesses, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and other stakeholders may be sought to
secure additional funding or in-kind support.

Conclusion

Our “basurahan ng bayan” project will benefit all the people in barangay Cumadcad, and not
only the people in Cumadcad, but even foreigners, because they will be more enticed to come
back because ours is a clean barangay, because it will reduce pollution and our Cumadcad
barangay will be cleaner, and so we will call a meeting regarding this project that will take place
so that the people will be aware of the project that we will do and also for them to know the
things that should be done and also for them to know the rules that will be implemented
regarding the wrong disposal of garbage.
