Assessment Brief

Module Title: Entrepreneurship


Module Code: 6N1941
Level: LEVEL 6
Assessment Technique: PROJECT
Weighting 50%

Guidelines:
This Project brief requires the learner to produce evidence that demonstrates an
understanding and application of a range of specific learning outcomes relating to Business
and Social Entrepreneurship. All instructions for the learner are clearly outlined in this
Assessment Brief and each Learner is required to work alone in completing the collection of
work.

Assessment Criteria:
This assignment has been developed to assess the learner’s knowledge and understanding of
how to develop a business/venture plan and enabling the learner to explore Learning
Outcomes Points: 1, 2, 3, 6 & 7. The learner should include the following information:

 Introduction to the project and setting the context


 Evaluation of the principles and practice of entrepreneurship in a range of business
and social innovation environments
 Evaluation of current concepts of business and social entrepreneurship
 A comparative assessment of business and social entrepreneurship with reference to
other methods of administration and management
 Reflection on how the concept of entrepreneurship has evolved nationally and
internationally including examples of historical and modern entrepreneurship
 Demonstration of how an entrepreneurial approach is adopted to on-going projects
and work, to include identifying skills requirements, current issues and obstacles,
innovative solutions and strategies to handle risk and/or failure
 Planning of a new venture or project which should include details of required
human, financial, physical and technical resources.
