CEO (Manuel): He is optimistic and forward-thinking. You will observe him being worried
about the reputation of the company.
Hr Head (Anshita): She is empathetic and realistic. She aims to support the workers.
CFO (Gaurav): He's primarily concentrated on finance but is open to investing in solutions.
Junior employee (Navnit): He is candid and connects well with the audience. He
symbolizes the average worker.
(Lights up! CEO stands up, looking through the quarterly report. All the others are seated
and looking towards his direction).
CEO : (Examines the report with worry) "Good morning, all." Thank you for participating in
this meeting. "Prior to beginning, let’s introduce ourselves for a better understanding of our
roles."
HR Leader : "I'm Ms. Sharma, your HR Leader." "I’m here to make sure we meet the needs
of our staff and keep our talent."
CFO : "This is Raj." "As the CFO, I will concentrate on the impact of employee turnover on
our profits."
Team Lead : "My name is Ms.Jalan, and I am a team lead.” "I will share perspectives from
on the ground alongside our workers' issues."
Junior Employee : (Anxiously) "I’m Ravi, a junior software developer. "I trust my feedback
assists the company in making progress."
CEO : "Our discussion today is centered around employee retention, a major challenge for
us. Over the past six months, we've lost 15% of our workforce. This is hurting productivity,
increasing recruitment costs, and, most importantly, damaging employee morale."
HR Head : "We need to explore why employees are leaving and find effective strategies to
address their concerns. Retaining talent is crucial for maintaining a stable workforce and
achieving long-term goals."
CFO : "Employee turnover isn’t just a people problem; it’s a financial one too. Every lost
employee costs us time and money. We need to understand the underlying causes and
create solutions."
Team Lead: "Retention isn’t just about salaries—it’s about creating a positive work
environment where employees feel valued and motivated."
Junior Employee: "I’m here to share our perspective. Many of my colleagues have
expressed frustration about work-life balance, growth opportunities, and recognition."
CEO : "Great. Let’s dive deeper into this and create actionable plans to tackle these issues."
CEO : (Pointing at the graph) "Here’s the situation: Our employee turnover has steadily
increased. Departments like development and customer service are the most affected. We
need answers."
HR Head : "Exit interviews reveal three main reasons: lack of work-life balance, unclear
growth opportunities, and inadequate recognition. If we don’t act now, it’ll worsen."
Junior Employee : "I can confirm that, sir. Many of my colleagues feel overworked. We
barely have time for personal life, and we don’t know where our careers are heading."
CFO : (Frowning) "And when they leave, we lose months of training investments.
Recruitment and onboarding new employees cost a lot more than retaining current ones."
Team Lead : "I hear similar complaints from my team. They want recognition for their efforts
and more involvement in decision-making."
CEO : "Alright, now that we’ve identified the problems. Let’s brainstorm solutions."
Team Lead : "We need to think outside the box. What about some fun perks? Like free
snacks in the office?"
CFO :(Rolling his eyes) "Snacks? You think chips and cookies will stop people from
leaving?"
Junior Employee :(Excitedly) "Actually, sir, snacks do help! Have you seen how people
flock to the breakroom when there’s free pizza?"
CFO : "Great. We’ll just change our tagline to: ‘BrightFuture Tech: Powered by Pizza!’"
HR Head : (Laughing) "It’s not just snacks,. Perks create a positive environment. Maybe we
could do something fun like Bring Your Pet to Work Day?"
Team Lead : "Oh no, that’s a disaster waiting to happen. Last time I brought my dog to the
office, he chased the delivery guy down the hallway!"
Junior Employee : "And don’t forget allergies. Some people sneeze just thinking about
pets!"
CFO : (Sarcastically) "Perfect. So now we have an office full of sneezing employees and
pizza crumbs everywhere. Fantastic strategy, team!"
CEO : (Walking in, overhearing the conversation) "What’s all this about pizza and sneezing?
Are we running a company or a food court?"
Junior Employee : (Shrugs) "Well, sir, happy employees are productive employees. And
happy employees love pizza!"
CEO : (Pauses, pretending to think seriously) "Alright. Let’s approve a pizza budget. But
only if we also include a fitness program to burn off the calories!"
[Everyone laughs and the tension eases before they return to brainstorming real
solutions.]
HR Head : "For work-life balance, we could introduce flexible working hours and remote
work options."
CFO : "We’ll need to calculate the cost of implementing these changes. But it might save us
money in the long run by reducing turnover."
Team Lead : "For recognition, we could introduce monthly ‘Employee of the Month’ awards
and regular team appreciation events."
Junior Employee: "I’d suggest mentorship programs. Pairing us with senior employees
would help us understand our growth paths and build connections."
CEO : "Good suggestions. Ms.sharma, can you design a plan for implementing these
initiatives?"
HR Head: "Absolutely. We’ll start with a pilot program to test these strategies and gather
employee feedback."
Act 3: Implementing Solutions (5 minutes)
Scene: Two months later. A company-wide meeting is being held. Employees are seated
while the management announces the new initiatives.
CEO (Amit): "Thank you all for joining us. After careful consideration and feedback from
employees, we’re excited to announce new initiatives to improve work-life balance,
recognition, and career growth."
HR Head (Priya): "First, we’re introducing flexible working hours and remote work options.
You’ll have more control over your schedule."
CFO (Raj): "Second, we’ll recognize your efforts with monthly awards and team-building
events."
Team Lead (Meera): "And finally, mentorship programs will guide your career growth and
help you achieve your goals."
Junior Employee (Ravi): "These changes mean a lot to us. Thank you for listening!"
CEO (Amit): "Our employees are our greatest asset. Let’s work together to make
BrightFuture Tech a great place to work!"
CEO (Amit): "Today’s discussion reminds us that employee retention is about more than just
policies; it’s about creating a culture of trust, respect, and growth."
HR Head (Priya): "We’ve learned that listening to employees and acting on their feedback
is the key to building a happy workforce."
CFO (Raj): "Retention isn’t just good for employees; it’s good for business. A motivated
team drives success."
Junior Employee (Ravi): "On behalf of all employees, I’d like to say thank you. We look
forward to a brighter future together!"
Team Lead (Meera): "Let’s remember: Happy employees lead to successful organizations."
