On-The-Job Training

Technical/Marketing Committee

WEEK 1
(December 4-10, 2024)

Objectives
● Conduct a general meeting (online) with all committee members.
● Prepare a list of title suggestions for the event.

Accomplishments

1. Online Meeting
The team successfully conducted an online meeting on December 6, 2024, aimed
at establishing a unified understanding of the event among all members. To accommodate
those unable to attend due to classes and prior commitments, the meeting was recorded.
Key points discussed during the meeting included:

● General Overview of the Event


A detailed explanation of the event’s objectives and concept was provided
to ensure consistent understanding among members.
● Team Division:
Members were assigned to specific teams for more efficient task
delegation in the future. Each team was given specific responsibilities, but
flexibility was emphasized to account for members’ class schedules or other
conflicts. The teams include:
○ Technical Team
○ Design Team
○ Copy/Caption Team
○ Video Team
● Document Organization
The team agreed on using a shared Google Sheet as a collaborative tool.
This document includes:
○ A calendar for tracking deadlines.
○ A task to-do list for monitoring progress.
○ General updates to enhance communication and transparency.

2. Title Proposal
Team members were invited to suggest event titles, with submissions accepted until
December 7. Subsequently, all committees were given the opportunity to vote for their
preferred titles from the list, with voting concluding on December 9.

The top-voted title suggestions are as follows:

1. The Engineer’s Compass: Navigating the CE World


2. Under the Hard Hat: Secrets of the Civil Engineering Field
3. CErtifying the Edge: AsCEss the Foundations in Building Your Future
4. Overture to Success: AsCErtain Myriad Possibilities Ahead
5. Breaking Grounds: CEmenting the Foundations of the Future
6. PerCEverance: Climbing the Ladder to Success
7. The CE Spectrum: Charting the CE Career Path

3. Initial List of Contents


Team members brainstormed content ideas, which will be reviewed and approved in the
subsequent meetings. The proposed content ideas are listed below.

Short Video ● Informal video (nag sasabi ng "bobo" ka ba? in formal mannerism then
introduce the seminar)
● Introduction of the branches of CE that will be tackled
● Suspect! Suspect! (seminar details at the end)
● Exam/quiz score reveal (seminar details at the end)
● Ang paa lander... ang mukha erika lanciso... ang course civil
engineering... ang score 10/100 tapos invite for seminar
● We are CE students, of course.....
● Name a Civil Engineering subject that is very challenging for you?
● Aaron Paul will encourage CE students around the campus while doing
"kaldag"

Long Video ● Interview of 3rd and 4th Year CE Students (ambush interviews of CE
students attending the event asking them their preferred specialization,
expectations for an event etc etc or fave prof/subjs.
Ongoing Tasks
● Team members are continuing to brainstorm and add new content ideas for the proposal.
● Members assigned to the Technical Team are in the process of learning and familiarizing
themselves with the tools and software necessary for their tasks.

Recommendations
● Finalize the event's general theme to enable the creation of an initial draft for post
templates.
● Consult with the logistics committee to gather insights and requirements for stage
technical needs.
