In order to foster a love for Mathematics amongst school students, the Mathematical

Association of America is conducting the AMC (American Mathematics Contest) in South


Asia, the Middle East, and other regions. The Contest intends to test the problem-solving
skills and mathematical knowledge of middle and high school students.

● The details of the examination are as follows: -

● The AMC 8 is for students in grade 8 and below.


● It is a 40-minute MCQ contest with 25 questions. The total mark is 25 with no negative marking.

● Duration: 40 minutes

● Contest Day/ Date: 25 January, 2025

● Contest Fee: 30 USD per contest

Benefits:

● AMC reflects mathematical talent in problem-solving skills.

● AMC is the first in the series of competitions that leads to the International
Mathematical Olympiad (IMO).

● AMC score is significant for admission to MIT and Ivy League Schools such as
Carnegie Mellon University, Princeton University, and Caltech University.

● All students receive complimentary access to a complete, online training


curriculum. This curriculum includes all previous contest papers, mock exams, and
live seminars
