To make sense of and take full advantage of these systems, an excellent approach is needed? As software development plays a major role for successfully run of i nformation systems and also a good segment of researchers are focusing on this a rea. Although this field is mature with many aspects but the main issue with thi s technology is related to its concrete link between software development and in formation systems, as it is highly important factor as of all functional require ments based on it. Researchers suggested so many different ways for the best use of information systems and software developments. But it still need to be consi der more, for getting more accurate and precise results by applying new trends a nd techniques including merging the concepts of both. Objective of the Book: This book aims to provide a comprehensive reference for Information Systems and Software Development by covering all important topics including the information systems and software development life cycle, systems and software processes, fun ctional and non-functional requirements, managing software development and softw are quality, metrics and technology. In addition Software Development Techniques for Constructive Information Systems Design will focus on research and experien ce that could contribute to the improvement of information systems and software development practices. The book's scope includes methods, techniques and technol ogy to better engineer software and manage its development. It will extend the g rowing literature on the emerging technologies and innovations in the field of S oftware development techniques and Information System Design. There is a need for recent edited book that focuses in merging the concept of in formation systems and software development perspectives. Some edited books focus in each perspective individually. However, merging both perspectives gives a cl ear view about the current and future developments in information system and sof tware development. Target Audience: This book would serve a broad audience including researchers, academicians, stud ents, and working professionals in the field of information systems and software development. Recommended Topics for Chapter Proposals: Papers or chapters submitted for review should have a clear component of informa tion systems analysis and design, software engineering or address ways to improv e the engineering and management of information systems and software development . Recommended topics include, but are not limited to, the following: Introduction and Overview of Information Systems and Software Development. information systems and software development life cycle, systems and software processes, functional and non-functional requirements,

diagrams and representations, managing software development, software quality, metrics and technology, software architecture, modeling, design and programming, Software testing and verification and validation. Testing Strategy Structural (non functional) Testing Feature- Driven Development Methodology E- Business and E- Commerce Ethics Privacy and Information Security Data and Knowledge management Project Planning Version Control Submission Procedure: Researchers, practitioners and professionals are invited to submit on or before February 29, 2012, a chapter proposal, maximum three pages long, clearly explai ning the topic and objectives of their proposed chapter. The proposal should be in Word or PDF format and should be sent to [email protected] or on any one of b ook editors email address. Authors of accepted proposals will be notified by Mar ch 15, 2012 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines if t he proposal is accepted. Full chapters are to be submitted by April 30, 2012. Al l submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis. Contributo rs may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project.
