Course Title: Introduction to Semiconductor Physics and Devices


Course Duration: 12 Weeks
Level: Undergraduate/Technical Training
Prerequisite: Basic Physics, Introductory Electronics

Course Objectives

1. Understand the fundamental principles of semiconductor physics.


2. Explore the properties and behavior of semiconductor materials.
3. Analyze the operation of semiconductor devices such as diodes, transistors, and
optoelectronic devices.
4. Apply semiconductor concepts to real-world electronic circuits and systems.

o Crystal Structures and Bonding in Semiconductors
o Band Theory: Energy Bands, Band Gap, and Electron-Hole Dynamics

o Temperature Effects on Conductivity

Module 2: Charge Carrier Dynamics (Weeks 3-4)
