Jack paints his face to camouflage when hunting pigs to be seen as

Anger and mockery of Piggy’s complaints. As the Boys’ laugh at Piggy

being bullied.

The boys were unable to signal the ship because the fire was already

burning out before they could reach the mountain.

Piggy was defending Ralph about them losing their opportunity to finally be
