OBJECTIVES:

1. Increase Green Cover: Plant at least 100 trees (Mangrove) within the designated area to
enhance local biodiversity and contribute to environmental sustainability.

2. Promote Environmental Awareness: Educate participants about the importance of trees in


mitigating climate change and preserving natural resources.

3. Foster Community Engagement: Involve local residents, students, and organizations in tree
planting activities to strengthen community bonds and collective environmental responsibility

I. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Tree Planting Initiative for Environmental Sustainability aims to address the urgent
need for reforestation and promote ecological stability within our community. This project
focuses on the restoration and preservation of local ecosystems by organizing tree-planting
activities involving community members, students, and local organizations

This initiative is, of course, aimed at increasing green cover, combat against air pollution
choice, and home constructed for local wildlife. Planting trees and spreading the message of a
green environment as well as sustainable practice. This project provides the community with a
connection and sense of responsibility to their natural environment through direct participation.

It lays out project goals, site selection criteria, schedule of work to be completed in each
phase; cost projections as well as a scheduled maintenance plan for the trees once they are
planted. Our goal is to develop a lasting project which goes towards climate action and inspires
further entities to do the same in the future.

II. SCOPE OF WORK


PHASE 1: Planning and Site Selection
1.1 Define Goals: Identify the objectives of the tree-planting initiative
1.2 Site Assessment: Collaborate with local authorities like MENRO to select an
appropriate site in Barangay Manapa, Buenavista.
1.3 Permissions and Support: Secure any necessary permits and gather community
support.
PHASE 2: Tree Selection and Procurement
2.1 Species Selection: Choose tree species suitable for the local environment,
considering factors like soil type, climate, and biodiversity.
2.2 Supplier Identification: Find reliable suppliers or nurseries for healthy saplings,
ensuring adequate stock for the planting area.
2.3 Logistics: Organize the transportation of trees to the site and secure any tools or
materials required for planting.
PHASE 3: Tree Planting Event
3.1 Event Preparation: Arrange volunteers, assign roles, and prepare any needed
training or briefing materials.
3.2 Event Execution: Host the tree-planting day, guiding participants in planting
techniques to ensure the best survival rates for the saplings.
3.3 Community Engagement: Include educational elements to inform participants
about the importance of the initiative and environmental stewardship.

PHASE 4: Post-Planting Care and Maintenance


4.1 Watering: Water regularly, especially in dry periods, to keep mangroves healthy and
prevent soil issues.
4.2 Pruning and Weeding: Remove weeds and trim any damaged parts to help the
mangroves grow stronger.
4.3 Monitoring: Visit often to check on the growth and health of the mangroves.
4.4 Community Help: Involve local people in protecting the mangroves, boosting their
impact on coastal health.
4.5 Sustainability: Partner with environmental groups and local leaders to ensure the
mangroves thrive long-term, even as students.

III. PROJECT TIMELINE

Phase 1: Planning and Preparation (Week 1-2)


 Task: Conduct site surveys and identify suitable planting areas.
 Task: Develop detailed planting plan, including species selection, planting density, and
post-planting care.
 Task: Secure necessary permits and approvals from local authorities.
 Task: Conduct community outreach and awareness campaigns.
 Task: Recruit volunteers and establish partnerships with local schools and
organizations.
 Task: Secure funding through various sources (local businesses, government grants,
crowdfunding).
 Task: Purchase necessary materials (tree seedlings, tools, protective gear, signage).

Phase 2: Tree Planting (Week 3)


 Task: Organize planting events with volunteers and partners.
 Task: Conduct training sessions on proper planting techniques.
 Task: Plant at least 100 mangrove trees within the designated area.

VII. MONITORING AND EVALUATION

VIII. CONCLUSION
In a nutshell, the Tree Planting Initiative for Environmental Sustainability in Brgy.
Manapa, Buenavista, Agusan Del Norte, is an important project that will help improve the
environment in our community. Planting 100 mangrove trees will not only help make the area
greener but also support local wildlife and fight climate change. This project also gives us the
chance to teach everyone about the importance of trees and how they help protect our natural
resources.
By involving local residents, students, and organizations, we can work together to care
for our environment. This project will bring people together and inspire them to keep taking care
of nature. With everyone’s help, the tree planting will have a long-lasting positive effect on both
the environment and the community.
