USER MANUAL LANATIME

LANATIME MOBILE APPLICATION


As the modern workplace trends more toward remote and mobile workforces, time and attendance systems
need to keep pace. Mobile attendance tracking software that allows employees to submit manual punches, change
shifts, request leave, outdoor request and more from any location. Modern employee time tracking systems often
take the form of a mobile app for Android devices. These apps help to empower employees and improve the quality
of your time and attendance data by letting workers submit their own real-time information straight from their mobile
phones. Employers can also track employee’s movements using mobile apps, making it easier to maintain accurate
records and keep tabs on the progress of specific projects. LanaTime mobile application is designed to fulfil whole
requirements of employees who works outdoor.

HOW TO INSTALL

• Uninstall if you already installed previous version of the application.


• Locate and click LanaTime Web mobile application apk.
• Click install button to begin the installation.

• After installation click Open if you are working with the application now. Otherwise
click Done.

GETTING STARTED
DATABASE CONFIGURATION
Before actually working with the LanaTime web Mobile Application, you need to configure
the database connection.

• In login page you can view a settings button at the bottom left side of the screen.
• Click on the button.

• Enter database source (static IP) and port number.


• Click SAVE button.
• You will get a success message if the connection is successful.
• Click OK.

ABOUT
The version details of the application is listed here.

• Click on the about button at the right bottom side of the screen.

LOGIN
Login details of an employee is according to the details you saved in LanaTime web
application.

• Enter the employee ID as username and self-password as password.


• You cannot login to another device with same credentials once you done.

Note: Please make sure that you enable the status of mobile application for that employee as administrator or user in
LanaTime web application.

HOME PAGE (USER LOGIN)


After entering the user login credentials, you are directed to the homepage. In home page
you can see the options like requests, approvals, schedule and more.

MY REQUESTS
You can view the requests made by employees here.

• Select the request type by clicking the drop-down arrow.


• Select Leave request, Manual punch request, Outdoor request, Schedule request or
location punch request.
• Select the time- All time, Week, Month or year.
• Select the status as pending or Done.

• You can see the requests as per your selection.
• If you want to search a particular request, enter the name in search field.
• By clicking on the particular request, you can see the details and status of that request.
• You can view the number of requests in home page near MY REQUEST option.

SCHEDULE
You can submit the request for a schedule change here.

• In calendar you can see that already scheduled dates with an orange dot.
• Click on that particular date, the details of schedule displayed below.

• Click on the detail.


• Select the time table and enter the reason.
• Click Submit button.
• Click DONE to the success message.

Note: The schedule shown here is according to the details saved in LanaTime Web Application.

LEAVE
To know about your leave status, click on LEAVE button. You can view the details as
graphical representation and as reports. You can view leave type, used leave, pending
leave and entitled leave.

• Click on the leave name and select the leave type from pop up.
• Enter the date range.
• Now you can see the leave status.

• To view the report, click on REPORT tab.


• Select the leave type from the drop down.
• You can see the details as shown in figure.

PUNCH

• You can mark the attendance from your current location.


• Click on punch button.

• Your location is automatically updated in the google map.
• Take a selfie by clicking on the camera icon.
• Select the punch type check in, check out, break in or break out.
• Click on the check in button (if you select the check in option).
• Enter the purpose of your visit and click OK.
• Click DONE to the success message.

Note: selfie is mandatory to mark your punch.

LOGS
Log’s option contains punch and attendance details.

• Click on punch log.


• Select the date range.
• Click submit.

• To view the attendance log, click on the button.


• Select the date range.
• Click submit.

REPORT
You can view the attendance report here.

• Select start date and end date.


• You can customize the report by selecting the required fields.
• Click on the switch button against each field to show/hide it from report.
• You can export the report as PDF by clicking Export PDF button.

LOCATION HISTORY
To view your location history, click on History button.

• You can see your route map in the screen, whenever you enable the live location.

REQUESTS
After home page select REQUESTS button. It contains Leave Request, Outdoor Request
and Manual Punch request.

LEAVE REQUEST
You can request your leave through LanaTime Mobile Application.

• Select Leave Type.


• Select half day, full day, ¾ day or ¼ day.
• If you select half day, ¾ day or ¼ day, enter the leave hour as first half or second half.
• Select start time and end time.
• Enter the reason.
• Click Submit.
• Click OK to the success message.

OUTDOOR REQUEST
You can request for an outdoor visit by entering the reason and time in mobile application.

• Select the outdoor request type.


• Select the location in map.
• Click ADD LOCATION button.
• Save the address.
• Enter start time and end time.
• Click Submit button.
• Click OK to the success message.

MANUAL PUNCH
If you forget to punch due to some reasons, select Manual Punch to add transaction
manually.

• Select manual punch type check in, check out, break in or break out.
• Select the punch date and punch time.
• Enter the reason.
• Click Submit.
• Click OK to the success message.

USER
Here you can see the employee details here.

• To enable the live location, just click on it.

• Enable the live location and click OK.


• Admin can the live location of the employee once he enables this option.
• You can view the software details by clicking About button.

LOGOUT
To log out from the current user click Logout button.

HOME PAGE (ADMIN LOGIN)
Login as administrator after entering the credentials. You can see the requests by all
employees.

APPROVALS
• Select request type, time and status.
• Click on the request you want to approve/reject.
• You can Approve/Reject the request.

• Enter the reason.


• Click Approve to approve the request and click approve in message box.
• You will get a success message and click DONE button.
• You can revoke the approved/Rejected requests too.

• For that select the request type and time.
• Select the status as DONE.
• Click the approved/rejected request you want to revoke.
• Enter the reason and click REVOKE button.
• Click DONE to the success message.

REPORT
You can see the report here. Administrator can view staff report also.

• Select the required fields.


• Click View Report.
• To view the detail of employees, click on Staff Report.
• Select the department.
• Search employee by typing his name.
• Enter start date and end date.
• Select the required fields.
• Click on View Report.

• Click Report option from home page.


• You can see two tabs below the screen, My report and staff report.
• In My report, you can see your attendance details.
• Enter start date and end date.

HISTORY
You can view the location history of employees here. Employee must enable the live
location as discussed before.

• Click on History button.


• Select start date and end date.
• Search the employee.
• You can see the history of location punch details of employee.
• If you enable the live location history, you can see the live location and location history
of employees.
• Location history details available, if the employee enables the live location option. If
the feature is disabled you cannot view the history of that particular time period.

LIVE TRACKING
You can see the live location of a particular employee here.

• Select the employee through search option.


• You can see the live location of the employee.
• You must.
