Part 1: Introduction – 3 to 4 minutes. 4.0 marks


The candidate takes the test in a pair with another candidate. Each candidate talks
about his/her background, studies, hobbies, his/her family, where he/she lives and
so on. The candidate can include facts and his/her own opinions or feeling.
Part 2: Collaborative task – 5 to 6 . 6.0 marks
Prompt cards are used to stimulate questions and answers. The examiner reads out
instructions and gives a question card to one candidate and an answer card to the
other. After the candidates have asked and answered the questions, they change
roles.
The examiner will stop the interaction after 4 or 5 questions have been asked and
answered. A different set of prompt cards is then given out, so that Candidate A
has the opportunity to ask questions and Candidate B to answer them.

What do you like to do together as a family?
2. HOMETOWN
Where is your hometown?
What’s special about it? / What do you like most about your hometown?
How long does it take to get from your hometown to here? / Where is your
hometown located?
3. INTERNET
How often do you use the internet? / Do you use the Internet much during the day?
What do you usually do on the Internet?
Have you ever bought anything on the internet? / Do you often buy things on the
internet?
4. MUSIC
What kind of music do you like to listen to? / What's your favorite kind of music?
Do you often listen to music? /When do you listen to music?
Can you play any musical instruments? / Have you ever learned to play a musical
instrument?
5. TELEVISION
Do you watch television a lot? / Do you like watching TV?
What do you usually watch on television? / What types of TV programs do you
(most) like to watch? / What's your favorite TV program?
Do you prefer to get your news from television or from some other source?

Part 2: Collaborative task – 5 to 6 minutes
