STEWARDSHIP ... is what I do after I say I believe

Praise the Lord, for God is good; sing praise to our God, for the Lord is gra-
cious. Psalm 147:1

In think about stewardship, it is easy to forget the motive for giving by focusing
solely on the activity of giving. The most important motive for giving is the recog-
nition that God is good and gracious. Giving should always be in gratitude and
thanksgiving. The Scriptures remind us that God loves a cheerful giver, not a
grouchy one.

ROSARY MAKERS

Anyone wanting to order First Holy Communion rosaries can do so at the Ministry
Fair this weekend after all masses. We will have boy and girl rosaries on display at
our booth. You can place your order at that time. This will ensure your order will
come in on time. The cost of the rosary is $10.00 upon receipt.

You can also call Edna Simms at 231-0142 to place an order or for more info.

HYMNAL DEDICATIONS

A shout out and thank you to all those who made donations and dedications for our
new hymnals! The great news is we collected $8385, which exceeded the amount
we needed to cover the cost. We ordered 400 hymnals, 20 choir books, and various
instrument books; however, the manufacturer erroneously shipped us 500 books.
The even better news is that since it was their mistake, we got a negotiated $7.00
rate for the 100 extra hymnals. Everything cost us $8378, so we were seven dollars
over what we needed!
If anyone would still like to dedicate a hymnal please contact Helen in the office or
email ([email protected]).
