This research project aims to analyze and compare customer satisfaction and
preferences between Domino's Pizza and La Pinoz, two prominent players in the
pizza industry. With the increasing competition in the market, understanding
customer perceptions and preferences is crucial for both companies to enhance
their offerings and maintain a competitive.

INTRODUCTION
The fastest form of "fast food" consists of pre-cooked meals which reduce
waiting periods to mere seconds. Fast food restaurants typically offer a
limited menu of popular items that can be prepared and served quickly.
This industry has grown significantly over the past few decades, with

that every pizza is flavourful and satisfying.
With its rapid expansion and growing presence in various cities across
India, La Pino'z Pizza has established itself as a leading pizza chain in
the country.

1.4 HISTORY OF DOMINO’S PIZZA
The history of Domino’s Pizza begins in 1960 when Tom Monaghan and
his brother James took over a small pizzeria called DomiNick’s in
Ypsilanti, Michigan. The brothers renamed the restaurant Domino’s Pizza
and began to develop a unique business model that would revolutionize
the pizza industry.
Tom Monaghan purchased his brother’s share of the business for $500 in
1961 and by 1965 he had expanded the company to three locations.
However, it wasn’t until 1967 that Domino’s truly began to take off.
Monaghan bought out his partner and started franchising the business,
allowing others to open their own Domino’s Pizza locations.
Today, Domino’s Pizza is one of the largest pizza chains in the world,
with more than 17,000 locations in over 90 countries. The company’s
success can be attributed to its innovative approach to pizza delivery, as
well as its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

The story of India’s fastest growing pizza place started back in 2011 when
Sanam Kapoor opened his very first pizzeria in his hometown
Chandigarh. Inspired by his own search for delicious pizza options, he
started to wonder if there was a better way of doing pizza – and business.
The last thing in the world needed was another pizzeria, but maybe this
one could be different and everyone could get exactly what they wanted,
made fresh on demand, it all started sounding pretty great, and soon
Sanam was opening the first La Pino’z in his hometown Chandigarh and
there was no looking back. As of today, La Pino’z has 600+ outlets across
India with the recent one opening in London.
The name "La Pino'z" is a play on the Italian word "pino" which means
"pine" and is meant to evoke a sense of freshness and natural
ingredients. La Pino'z Pizza quickly gained popularity for its unique and
innovative pizza offerings, as well as its focus on quality ingredients and

taste, convenience, and pricing.
In all the stores globally opened by the company, one common thing is
that Domino’s Pizza is the main dish. Custom, specialty, and traditional
Domino pizzas are available in different toppings and crust styles to
attract customers of individual tastes.
Domino’s Pizza has kept its menu simple to ensure smooth and fresh
Pizza for delivery by the delivery boys. The brand tapped the trend for
bite-size foods by introducing spicy Buffalo Chicken Kickers. Domino’s
continued innovation with Brooklyn-style pizzas, non-vegetarian oven-

baked sandwiches, American Legends specialty pizzas, pan pizza, vegan
Pizza, etc.
The services in Domino’s Pizza’s marketing mix are up to the mark, and
online deliveries are one of the leading factors of its success in the
market.
The company maintains product quality, but its service with the pizza
tracker is also prompt. As soon as you order Pizza, the time starts ticking.
The customer wait period is thirty minutes, and the pizza tracker is on.
The delivery boys must deliver the Pizza within the allotted time;
otherwise, the company must compensate them with special discounts or
free Pizza in the next delivery.
Domino’s restaurant chain, renamed Domino’s Pizza Inc., has spread its
product presence to nearly 90+ different countries. The place strategy in
Domino’s Pizza’s marketing mix distribution strategy is based on the
franchise model, where 97% of the outlets are franchise-owned.
Dominos opened its outlets in the United States, India, Australia, France,
Sweden, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Turkey, and the United Kingdom.

fact that customer satisfaction in the context of fast food retailing is of two

A research methodology is like a plan for carrying out research and helps
keep researchers on track by limiting the scope of the research. Several
aspects must be considered before selecting an appropriate research
methodology, such as research limitations and ethical concerns that may
affect your research.

should explain why the methods chosen are the most appropriate to
answer the research question. A good research methodology also helps
ensure the reliability and validity of the research findings.

confined to the customer satisfaction only. Scope of the study is to find

by the consumer and on which factor.
For the purpose of this study, descriptive research is used, where the
data is collected by using both primary and secondary sources. This
study will help the pizza manufactures to learn about customer
satisfaction levels in terms of price, quality and other factors. As a result,
the findings will help the service providers to concentrate on these factors
in order to close consumer mentality gaps.

collected are 44% of Females, 53% of Males and 3% of Others. Hence,
the ratio of males are more than the ratio of females and others in the

INTERPRETATION :-
According to the data, there is 1 response i.e. only 1% of the respondent
belongs to below 10 age group. There are 28 responses under the age
group 10-20, 59 responses under the age group of 20-30, 5 responses
under 30-40 and rest of them are above 40. Therefore, Majority of the

pizzas, as well as other menu items such as breadsticks, wings, and
salads.
According to the survey results, 42% of the sample chose Domino’s Pizza
over La Pinoz Pizza as their go – to – option for ordering pizza. However,
35% of the sample responded that their choice depends on mood and
occasion.
When asked about the reasons for their preference, respondents who
preferred Domino's cited factors such as the taste of the pizza, the variety

Respondents who preferred La Pinoz cited factors such as the freshness
of the ingredients, the quality of the crust, and the friendly service.

Overall, the survey results suggest that Domino's is the more popular
chain, but La Pinoz is not far behind. Domino's received higher ratings for

LIMITATIONS

The following are the limitations of this research study project:
First, The study was conducted in a limited geographical area, which may
not be representative of the entire population. Also, the study was
conducted using a self-reported survey, which may be subject to
biasness.
Second, the study did not control for other factors that could affect
customer satisfaction, such as the time of day or the day of the week that
the customer visited the restaurant.
Third, the study did not ask customers to rate their satisfaction with an
aspect of the restaurant, like the atmosphere. This means that the results
cannot be used to identify specific areas where Domino’s or La Pinoz
could improve.

habits, the breakdown of the joint family structure, an increase in the
number of working women, and western presence in urban areas are all
contributing to the growth of the fast-food industry. Finally, the key
problem in all types of business sectors is determining market demand
and needs.

Domino's was also rated higher in terms of overall satisfaction. The
survey results suggest that Domino's is a more popular pizza chain than
La Pinoz. Domino's may be more popular because of its lower prices, its
wider variety of pizzas, and its more convenient ordering options.
La Pinoz may need to improve its pizza quality, its value for money, and
its customer service in order to compete with Domino's. La Pinoz may
also need to make its ordering options more convenient.
Dominos can continue to focus on their strengths, such as their taste and
price, while La Pinoz can focus on improving their service. Domino's also
has a stronger brand reputation than La Pinoz. This is likely due to
Domino's long history and its reputation for quality pizza.
Overall, the results of the survey show that respondents prefer Domino's
over La Pinoz. This is likely due to a number of factors, including
Domino's wider menu, more convenient ordering options, and better
customer service.
