Nominations to be sent via email to the relevant Erasmus+ Coordinator at the International Relations
Office (see below). Required information:
1. Name and Erasmus code of the Sending Institution
2. Full name of the student
3. Email address
4. Field of study
5. Level of study (BA, MA or PhD)
6. Period of the mobility (autumn, spring semester, full academic year)

Application deadlines 15 June – Autumn semester/full academic year


15 November – Spring semester
Language of instruction English, Bulgarian (B1 or higher)

Application documents 1. Application Form


2. Learning Agreement / Online Learning Agreement
3. Language Certificate (issued in English language)
4. Transcript of Records (issued in/translated to English
language)
5. European Health Insurance Card/Health Insurance
(copy of the EHIC or health insurance specifically to be sent
after receiving an Acceptance letter by Sofia University)

Accommodation A place in the student dormitory is provided for those Erasmus


students who register within the deadline.

Visa Citizens of EU countries do not need a visa to study in Sofia.


Students with non-EU/EEA nationality need a student visa, which
they should apply for at the Bulgarian Embassy/Consulate well in
advance.

Medical Insurance Students shall have adequate insurance coverage - a medical


insurance valid for Bulgaria for the whole period of the mobility,
covering all costs for urgent medical care and emergency hospital
treatment, accident and serious illness (including permanent and
temporary incapacity), death and repatriation, third party liability.
